Dude awesome video. I wish I saw this video months ago I bought the same LBT pack for a much higher price through a third party sale. Subscribed and gonna be checking out your site. 👍
Yeah we have some people trying to flip the packs they are buying from us. It's unfortunate but we are really happy to have finally made the connection with you regardless!
How about the fact that the LBT pack relies heavily on one row of stitching for its compression straps? Even just a box stitch would make things more secure. That said I have one and I really do like it.
@stevemcdermott6199 We don't make them, we just sold 'em. They said, in about 400 rucks, we never saw or even heard of a failure of any sort, much less one due to poor design or workmanship.
I’ve got the large ALICE pack and had liked it for years despite its short comings. This looks like a great replacement. It’s gonna be hard to breakup with ALICE.
@@onethiefsurplus Not to worry I’ll let her down as easy as I can and sometimes I might even still take her out for a walk for old time sake. Seriously this is a great system; modular and the straps look comfortable.
I used different types of ALICE packs and gear in the Marine Corps and National Guard, but never liked the snaps on them. Gosh like 12 years ago now, I started getting into Tactical Tailor MALICE rucks and then stumbled upon the LBT 2657 rucks. By far, I like my LBT over the Tactical Tailor, but I ended up going with the LBT 2168E suspension system on the pack and quickly realized that my LBT pack did not have load lifters. So... it needs to get sent out for modifications.
Another thing to consider with the LBT 2657 rucks is their apparently are many different versions of them. The one I was talking about is ranger green kit and almost identical to what you have, however mine does not have the zipper on the bottom or a way to separate the sleep system from anything else in the middle of the pack. It also did not come with any labels. I bought it from a friend of mine that was a Navy Seal 20 years ago, so I am guessing it was probably issued to him that way (no markings). He also gave me a second LBT 2657 in coyote brown that was not a kit, but it is a lighter version of the pack. Like instead of 1000 Cordura it is 500 and does have the zipper on the bottom and the separator in the middle. What I like about the LBT 2657 rucks is that they expand to become huge if you need all that room. You can also add thing on the molle panels on the sides and bottoms to expand even further. On the flip side, they compress to a very small size if you don't need the extra room. Making them a very well rounded bugout type bag.
@brushbum7508 Keep checking in with us. We are still sorting and grading. We have a couple rucks that we will likely combine into complete, serviceable rucks and will likely have spare parts left
@@onethiefsurplus Sounds Good ! I really LIKE THAT PACK ! I have a LBT shoulder strap, with built in pouches, waist belt set up on 1 of my Alice set ups. TAKE CARE..
I just moved my 2657 Kit G from the Alice frame to a FILBE frame. I used a Molle belt as the LBT Alice style belt would have required cutting the frame. My Kit G has an internal lid flap that takes over if you remove the pocketed lid.
Does anyone know if the LBT 2657 works with TT Malice Frame, because I have the 0404 Ridge Ruck and it isn't compatible with the malice frame due to the sizing channels and kidney pad holes dimensions
