My wife and I have just returned from a mini break in London .. our first trip there in over 20 years. We travelled down from Newcastle by train and were staying at the Premier Inn, near Goodge Street station. We caught the 73 from Kings Cross almost immediately we left the station, which dropped us off close to the hotel. Going to Oxford Street and out ‘n about in general, we named the ’73 bus’ as our bus .. we must have been on it 10 times over the few days. It’s amazing how often it runs .. where we live, the buses are every hour. We used the 390 too, but the 73 was ‘our bus’
I like the buses in London, the red is obvious. I will definitely go to London if I have a chance. These buildings are hundreds of years old, and the birthplace of modern civilization is in Europe. Great, a pleasant trip.
Thanks Claus Nielsen! I can't wait to return to Denmark (when it's safer to travel! ). I remember the wide roads, friendly locals, and delicious pastries!
Thanks for sharing! Very nice bus ride tour! There are lots of small roads with only one lane in each direction and with so many cars parked at the side of the road and not mentioning the number of cyclists on the road, it certainly takes a lot of skill and patience to drive a big bus on these roads.
07:30 The up coming stop is Tottenham Court Road Station. Oxford Circus Station is behind you, it's where the bus started from. All buses which terminate at Oxford Circus end up in several different street around Oxford Circus.
i see the telecommunications tower!!! yay!!! to me, bus rides are better than walking, but walking allows you to see more on your time! and i say film everything on a walk even the people, you are giving them their 12 seconds of fame, and they will get over it
Hi again CherryBlossom! I find bus rides more relaxing, but I also enjoy walking because I am fascinated by the details and interesting historical sites.
Still very quiet on Oxford St & Tottenham Ct Rd. Was this before or after 'Freedom day'? Because if it was after then people are obviously taking Borises advice with a pinch of salt. (Quite right too)
