Christmas is coming . . Join me as I take a walk around London to check out some of the BEST Christmas light displays across the city for Christmas. We start in Covent Garden with its beautiful large baubles, Christmas trees, and mistletoe. We then walk down towards Leicester Square and up into Oxford circus and then on to the famous Regent Street and The Spirit of Christmas’ Angels Walk. We take a look at Hamley's Toy Shop and their famous window displays, followed by a walk to Selfridges on Oxford Street to take a tour and check out their amazing Christmas tree displays and end the walk towards China Town!
This walk is not to be missed and we also discover some lesser know Christmas lights too!

So beautiful. I miss London at Christmas. Here in Australia it was 30c, I also miss the cold, makes the lights more special. Never seen it so empty. How ever long I live in Australia, I will always be a Londoner at heart. Born in Paddington, St Mary's.

@roger b It is attractive for a reason. The street and surrounding area still belongs to the Crown. In the early 19th century the Prince Regent asked John Nash to design Regent Street and this is the result. All the really nice parts of London are in private ownership. The Crown, the Duke of Westminster, the Duke of Bedford, the Earl Cadogan, all own large swathes of central and West London. The famous private school, Eton College, owns most of Swiss Cottage. Properties are leasehold or rented, not freehold.

During the Depression my Mom's family made roses from crepe paper to decorate their tree as they had no money. I bet it was pretty. I love London, always wanted to visit. Hopefully one day before I close my eyes. Better do it soon....I'm 72.

OMG you made me feel so homesick. Whilst I've got the Vegas lights 365 days a year, you just can't beat the Xmas lights in London. They reminds me of my childhood when my dad (London Taxi driver) took me and my mum to see all the lights and of course visit Santa at Selfridges. That made my Xmas 💕 Still beautiful 😍 ❤

You were asking why the red phone booths are still there if nobody uses them nowadays? Well, they are one of the features that make London so special and unique. They are the reason I am ordering the Christmas ornaments in the shape of the red telephone booth, the Buckingham palace guard and the old London taxi being thousands of miles away from London - to celebrate my love to this city of my childhood. I haven't been to London at Christmas since my RAF days in the 70s, I was brought up in Paris which was very similar. Now I live in Washington state on the west coast of the US and the most you get is maybe some lite up snowflakes on the side of the streets. I watched this with my mouth hanging open in Christmas awe lol. This is amazing. OMG I wish I was there. Thank you so much for sharing this Tim; it's simply beautiful. I put this on while I cook for Christmas day but I had to stop doing everything and sit and watch this. I'm gonna watch once and then go finish my prep and get a glass of Egg Nog and watch all of them. Happy Holidays!!!

I’ve always wanted to visit London! I’ve been obsessed since I was 10 years old and I’m way past that age now. It’s so beautiful!! Wish I could have a live real tree at Christmas, but I’m highly allergic to pine and cedar trees.
