Happy Birthday Mazzy🎉 As a ex-pat in San Diego, it’s good to see the old stomping grounds. So many record stores, congrats on finding a grail. Enjoy the martini!🍸
brilliant...congrats on the beatles grail..riding the london tube would be a grail for me, having ridden new york subways most of my life... cheers and happy birthday my friend.. peace and safe travel..rocky
Happy Birthday 🎂 🎂 Mazzy . What a fantastic grail to get , The White Album UK First Press and a mono Sgt Pepper and Pink Floyd Meddle . I have to say those record stores in London must be fantastic . For that matter most record stores in the UK too . As a Beatles fan , it would drive me crazy looking for those 1st pressings , but well worth it . Enjoy your travels and I hope to make it to London one day as well 😊
I hope you picked up the Deep Sea Diver Helmet. How much fun would that be to put on. I love the scenes of London, thank you. Orwell’s house, very nice. Enjoying the tour
Happy Birthday Mazzy. I have always wanted to visit London. Maybe one of these days I'll make it there. Have a great time there and keep buying those records.
Nice stroll in the Hawkwind neighbourhood! 275 Portobello Road is where the Mountain Grill café was located that was the inspiration for their 1974 album. It is now a juice bar I think, or used to be, If you happen to walk by. Congrats on the find, talk about a birthday gift!
Happy Birthday Mazzy. And to grail. What great videos and see as to the best in videography and photography in every video you do. Yer the master. Great trip there. TC and great day.
Last September we spent a few days in London. We stayed with my wife's friend who has a flat above the Notting Hill Book Store. I hit most of the stores in that area. I remember talking to the guy selling records on the street. Nice guy.
You wanna go to Brick Lane in London’s East End, there’s one of the best record shops called Flashback Records and along Hackney Road, Crypt of the North and Yo Yo Récords plus another great record shop World of Echo on Columbia Road. Oh and a visit to the 24 hour best bagels ever imo Beigel Bake, it’s been there for years and you must try the Jewish-style filled bagels such as salt beef and smoked salmon with cream cheese, absolutely delicious, it’s on Brick Lane the northern end, it’s a must 😊. Oh I’ve got an original mono Sgt Pepper, got it the day of release in 1967 and the same with the White Album but in stereo with a low number, would never sell them!
Think I might have been to that Japan gig as well. Otherwise they were usually down the road from Dingwalls at The Music Machine. It was their early days looking like the New York Dolls and entrance was often free. Fantastic even then!
Félicitations Mazzy! Not only for your birthday, but also for the universe alignment; that allowed you to discover & treat yourself with vinyl gems. I've previously mentioned how fortunate you are to have seen Japan play live. Being an expat. Londoner, my partner was able to see their later concerts in the early 80s (Hammersmith Odeon), thankfully just before his family came to Australia to live. 👱❤️
Some nice grail finds. I had an EMI Japanese first Meddle pressing that sounded excellent, should have kept it. Your video of Portobello and Camden makes me want to go to London again soon.
happy birthday my man! that shot going down the stairs of the tube, reminded me of that scene in " American werewolf in London ". thank for the tour. Cheers!
I thought maybe the police were coming to stop Mazzy from telling his virginity story again. Just in time, officers. Awesome grail, Mazzy. Congratulations. And it was nice to see our Belgian friend. Since he's usually sitting down on those livestreams, I had no idea he was that tall.
Is your birthday 23rd August? As is mine (and Linda Thompsons). Happy birthday. You know John Coltrane's Traneing in was recorded on 23rd August (1957)
I love Wild Horses Music. Run by the original owner’s daughter now. The prices are very fair, but the records are really tightly packed in. You need long arms to reach the back rows. But a definite one to hit up when in Camden.
Happy Birthday and good to see you find something that made the day a little special. I am intruiged though: 'Camden Yards'? Do you mean Camden Market? Perhaps you're confusing it with the home of the finest MLB team... ;-)
