These guys and including Eric Moore have taken speed and agility to another level. Buddy Rich and some of the classic players were fast, but these guys are using their whole bodies in a different way. Aaron is like a dancer behind the kit with a gracefulness that’s amazing to watch.
This was fun to watch and both are amazing drummers. But mix wasn't very clear so I couldn't hear everything. Well, of course notes are flying pretty fast here anyway and I prefer less "busy" playing.
Wonderful drummers and talent. Less wonderful result. Too busy at times. Anyway, nice to see two greats sticking together. The sum of both talents is greater than huge!!!!
Was this the Aaron Spears beat down show? Is this where the fat guy beats on the little skinny guy and everyone cheers for the little skinny guy? Knowing all that, notice how Spears is playing in the song, a deep pocket approach, while Kaz just is playing to the song, confident yet superficial. Seems like he is waiting to chop it up instead of digging in to the feel. To then emphasize the primary distinctions are based on Aaron tasty chops and undeniable showmanship. An example of his showmanship was when he accidentally on purpose dropped his stick and was playing with one hand. To me that was the slam dunk.In another words, he is all in, and it is all in him. He was just being Aaron Spears, a very awesome MF.
@@bigruby5416 Kaz was playing to the song because it's his song. He produced it. All in all, they both did am excellent job. This was a shed, just 2 drummers having some fun.
