Thank you for this vlog - for me, the best one you have done. I was brought up in East London and my most vivid memories, apart from London's street markets, are of Soho and its environs in the sixties. As as teen in the “swinging sixties” I lusted after a white suit in the window of a menswear shop in this area, but didn't have the money to buy it. At least, apart from the area around Foyles bookshop, which seems to have utterly destroyed, the demise of the Intrepid Fox and the slow decay of Berwick street Market, where I bought my first Scotch bonnet chillis, it looks like the re-developers (commercial parasites) have been resisted. Love the meandering stroll, the sight of Gerry's (where I discovered absinth and painless migraine), the best off-licence in the entire nation, but disappointed by the vast majority of people not looking, not seeing, or obsessed by their mobile phones - a sad sign of the times. Thank you for the vlog - I now live too far away to re-visit the sites of my personal determination, but your vlogs are uplifting. I haven't checked out the 900+ vlogs on your channel but I suspect I really should to find any that relate to my childhood, in East London.
