London Gatwick Airport - Flight Flying during a pandemic - What to expect?

How easy is it to travel during the pandemic and to a green list country? What do you need to do before hand, is there anything open at the airport, Do I need to do anything different?
Each country in the world is categorised as being either green, amber or red, depending on their coronavirus infection rates.
This is my experience heading out from Gatwick Airport, North Terminal to Gibraltar.
You will need to take a pre-departure Covid-19 test and a PCR test on or before day two of their return. People coming from "green list" countries have to provide a negative Covid test within 72 hours of departure and then pay for a PCR test on or before their second day back in the UK.

I'm flying for the first time ever and il be leaving from Gatwick in 2 days heading towards Canada, i really appreciate the quick sneak peak of the airport so i know what it all looks like. I truly everything goes as smoothly as it did for you!

@@mikilamarshall955 Having never really travelled by train much at all and then being new to aiports in general, it was very interesting to go through and learn the process of it all. The traveling was exciting and i didnt get sick while in the air lol. The plane ride was nice but the 7 hours in the air was a real drag.. especially when i couldn't sleep. Took way longer than i thought it would. Long as you have a plan and have someone to talk with along the way it'll keep you calm and thinking clear. If you're meeting people it'll be worth the trouble, enjoy your time as much as you can. I was sad to come home since 1 month went by so fast.

I haven't flown since before lockdown, Tim. We had to cancel a trip to Valencia (one of our fav European destinations) because of the virus, which, as we all know, is small beer at the side of what others had been through this past year. Nevertheless, it's frustrating when staring at four walls. Watching your vids has been a lifesaver for many, and I applaud you for bringing back the excitement, colour and vibrancy of travel, whether it be Norfolk or Nantes. Love this vid! Thanks ☺

One thing that’s so noticeable about Gibraltar is that the people are so lovely. Customer service is really good. Staff at the airport so friendly and helpful

LGW is my favourite airport! It is 🤩. I will be flying out to Dubai from Gatwick from October and I will be in emirates economy, but I will be in the No1 lounge just as a treat.

Great vid! How long were you staying in Gibraltar for? I'm hoping to go for 2 days in Sep. As my trip is less than 3 days, do you know if it is possible to use the rapid covid test result on entry to Gibraltar as a proof of test for return to UK?

Im no wiser, What do the passenger locator forms look like? Where do you get them? How much were the rapid tests? How long did you wait in the queue to get a test when you arrived in Gibraltar? Do you have to have smart phone to do all this?

Hi my friend, I have a connecting flight with British Airways, and I will be stopping off at London Gatwick. I'm traveling from Doha to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and I have a one hour layover to change plane.
