Join us on our travel day to Orlando for our Jam-packed holiday! Today we fly from London Gatwick to Orlando with British Airways, collect our 7 seater car hire and drive to our villa on Solara Resort :)
Just love seeing kiddos helping out the parents and taking care of themselves. I love it. Mom and dad you should be so proud of the amazing young people you are raising. Great travel day...TFS❤❤❤❤
Brilliant to see you back, sooo looking forward to seeing how you get on 🥰 Great that you're showing the budget info, so helpful! What a bloomin lovely family! 😍
Great to see you vlogging and traveling again. We enjoyed your other vlogs. We're hoping to go to Florida next year so your vlog will help us see how things are like now 👍👍
Im going there on March 31 and I can't wait! I cannot express how excited I am!!! We are going from Heathrow terminal 2 to Montreal with air Canada and then we go to Orlando from there!!
👏👏another series, I loved your last two so will look forward to seeing this one. We are going November and your videos have everything we love to do. x
At last. Yay. hi Jade, so glad you’re back again. Watched your solo one and one before with your mum n kids. I love your blogs. Informative and funny too. Like the pricing on screen too. Can’t wait for your next blog.
Great to see another travel day vlog - hope you’re all having an amazing time! My husband sounds a bit like yours - he does not like cameras or being on film (not that I vlog), but it’s a job to even get a photo of him or one of us together. 🙄 What a great idea to have a cruise at the end to relax & recharge on. I love Florida but it is an exhausting holiday! x
Haha so far hubby is playing ball, though I have had to edit out some inappropriate jokes he thinks are funny 🙄😂 My god, we ARE exhausted 🤦♀️😂 I don't think I thought this through fully with the humidity 😬🤦♀️😂 still having alot of fun, but pining for our rest day on Sunday haha x
When I went to Florida as a kid I didn't sleep all night because I was so excited my poor parents were tired on the flight and I just slept the whole time 🤣
Have to say compared to some of the food if seen on Florida flights your dinner looked very good for airline food.good video jade you are well in control.your holiday sounds amazing 3 weeks of magic, look forward to watching your holiday videos
Just watched it and fantastic, you may have paid more this time but it’s so worth it especially creating memories with your family . Looks a lovely villa and like us we always have a breakfast at the airport as that’s where our holiday starts , god to see you back and nice to see the man of the house popping up lol . We live 20 mins from Heathrow but always get gatwick for some reason . Cheers look forward to the next one
Great to see you back on the vids Jade, looking forward to your updates, we haven't been to the US since 2019 ( like yourselves, went about 15 years in a row before that) so likely be next year now, too much hassle this year. I'd be interested to get your feedback on flying BA, I think they have went downhill so fast it's incredible (their domestic flights are a joke in economy, water + crisps!!) and we tend to now go premium-eco just to get 1/2 decent food. I also believe that Disney prices are through the roof, corporate America at its best, and even parking is more expensive for further back at the parks, the fast passes have changed and it's all on a app now that is difficult to get your preferred timings on. Glad to hear car rental has come down a bit. Be very useful to find out how it all works this time, cost wise/booking wise etc . . and I think now you have to pay to book Premium Outlets (is that correct? was always free previously).
Hey 👋 thanks for watching 😁 Yes, over the years, prices of everything from booking the holiday to being on it have shot up though unfortunately I will always be one of those people who will still pay it 😬😂 I've given in and paid for 4 x Genie + passes at epcot so far, and 4 x Indvidual lightening lanes for the new guardians of the galaxy ride which in total for the above was over $100 before we even got there 🙄 Disney have become very clever with ditching the free fast passes. Guardian's of galaxy don't even allow you to standby queue at present so having missed the 5 seconds to book onto the virtual queue (before they are all snapped up at bang on 7am) I didn't really have alot of choice other than to not ride it. BA was fine. The seats are fine in my opinion, the food was better this time (they have brought back the cheese and Crackers since the pandemic 😂) and the film selection was good enough. Its not going to suit everyone but at the end of the day for me, I will always book who ever is cheapest to get me there. Norse are a new airline (previously Norwegian long haul who went bust in covid) they might be worth looking into as they have the 787 dream liners which are lovely planes (I should know, I used to be cabin crew for them!) Haha With the premium outlets, parking is still free, however the have small areas that you can reserve a space for $3 an hour and when you arrive there the barrier in your reserved spot goes down and you pull in. Every time I've been there on the last couple of trips, I have had to drive around for approx 20 mins, people chasing back to their cars to have their spot 😂 so, again personally for me, I'm happy to pay $6 to get in a parking spot as soon as I arrive. I film it in my next video actually 😁
@@Florida-Obsessed Jade, I know you're enjoying your holiday so thanks for taking the time to give the very detailed report, we're like you in that we just pay what we need to in order to make the holiday easier, we're very fortunate that way. My wife went nuts when they pulled the crackers + cheese in economy, I'll tell her the good news although in WT+ you do still get those. We used to always stay in Lake Buena Vista area so we used to go to Prem Outlets quite a bit, really nice to go and browse, but you could always find a space. Enjoy your hols, look forward to your vids.
Enjoying your vlogs! Florida fan from the UK, too (specifically Disney). Going in just over a month (third time), so these vlogs are helping with the excitement.
Slight confession, I'm mostly using the Gopro 9 since I've been here....🙈 its so much smaller and the lense is a wider angle. And I don't know how to / can't seem to see how to make the Sony ZV1 any wider...its awfully close to my face when I'm filming and I just don't get as much in the shot 🤔 I don't know if I'm still adjusting but I currently prefer my Gopro 😂🤦♀️
@@Florida-Obsessed its mostly important to be comfortable you have musle memory with what has worked in the past so go with that , your content is always really good , are you doing any of the parties , i have HHnights to vlog twice , MNSSHP and dine with the Orcas all penned in 📷 its going to be a real challenge to do same day uploads on location but looking forward to it 👍
No parties booked, in all my years coming here I've never done a party Not only that, but I do feel they are alot of money on top of an already paid for park ticket. Will look out for yours though. I did um and arr about dine with Orcas so that will be interesting to watch! Oh I don't think I'm going to manage an upload a day this time, which is why I've come more prepared with USB sticks to store it all on! I hope to upload a few whilst I'm here but don't think I'll cope with one a day, I'll be an actual zombie with this trips schedule!! Enjoy your evening 😊
This is the first time I’ve stumbled on your channel. I love that you include pricing on everything. Thank you for sharing your trip with us and PS: your children are so funny. 😂 I’ll be binge watching all your videos now!!
@@Florida-Obsessed great video really enjoyed the video great details, so excited about me flying to punta Cana April next year to punta flying on the tui Dreamliner in premium class really enjoyed the video makes me emotional cos it’s gonna be a long lived dream for me to fly on the tui Dreamliner like i said great video amazing details really enjoyed it I have booked a package deal aswell all with tui which it’s cost only For me less than £1,400 all inclusive xxx
@@Florida-Obsessed I’m also gonna have to bland you for the savannah song always in my head !!! I’ve never wanted Florida so bad as this year live seeing how you put the prices up as well
Been to Florida 5 times in Orlando first was with fly globspan who are now known as jet2 then flew with Thompsons in 2010 then in 2013 with BA then again in 2017 with thompsons just before they renamed themselves as TUI then this year in with virgin Atlantic as I live in Edinburgh so helped that they have launched new route this from Edinburgh to Orlando MCO
Just a quick thing [not a professional opinion] but I think the floor in duty free the black sparkle one, I belive that shows were duty free starts and ends as its the same in the majority of airports i have been to... also the vid was great I am traveling the same flight soon so am trying to get my self into the holiday mood! 😂
Thanks for these informative videos, I've been watching them all! We've got our flights booked to Orlando in July/Aug next year and I'm currently looking at accommodation and park tickets. We'll probably do something similar and go to Disney, Universal and Discovery cove. How did you book these tickets? Was it all done individually or as a package? For the five of us going its adding up to almost £5.5k!
@@Florida-Obsessed Magice Kindom when the decoratios are out like now for the fall and than Christmas. Universal studio for the same reasons, On any given days "not holiday" than Epcot and Universal .
Hi Andrew, I mostly use my GoPro9 to film, I did purchase the new Sony Z-V1 vlogging camera before this trip I'm currently on, but if I'm being honest, I prefer my gopro9 🙈😂 it's much smaller, lighter, has a wider lense and the stability when I'm on the move is much better. The GoPro is amazing for everything, it can go in the water, perfect for rides, it small....its just a brilliant all rounder. I'm definitely won over by the GoPro range since investing in another camera, which was double the price of my GoPro9 🙄 I'm not that impressed by it...🤦♀️. Thanks for stopping by to watch 😁
@@Florida-Obsessed yes the videos I am finding very helpful and informative. Thankyou for your reply. I will have to start vlogging then especially as I currently have a GoPro. Enjoy your holiday
I was surprised at how busy it was....I think tourism is picking up again plus it is summer school holidays. Hopefully November won't be so busy for you
Hi Anthony, i booked our flights package with BA direct on 26th November 2021 for August just gone, i think it was when black Friday sales were on. I booked flying direct into MCO and then flying home from TPA as was much cheaper. hope that helps, i would defo hold out for black Friday sales if you can.
Hi Aaliyah, at present, fully vaccinated (2 vaccines or more) do not have to do any tests anymore, you just need your proof of covid vaccines which you can present at the airport when you check in, or upload to your airlines app if you check in online. You will also need to complete the USA attestation form either through your airlines check in app or at the airport they should be able to help you do that. I believe you can also print it out at home but try and do it online as it's alot easier. Don't forget your ESTA visa that you also require to get into USA!
Hiya just watched your vlog and the part where you said you could pay a deposit on your flights as its “package” how did you do this as it would work fantastic for our holiday next year and would love to do it that way. As the only way i can get it to work is accommodation is for the duration of your stay so if your flights where 2 weeks apart your hotel would be for 2 weeks. Thanks
Hi Dan, i book on British airways website direct. and i click on flight and car, and then select the tab that says create custom trip. then you can select your flights you want, and any accommodation and for how long (ie i just added on 1 night at universals hotel). that then made it a package so i only had to pay a deposit. hope that helps.
Hi Andrew, i tried them for this trip and unfortunately didn't compare to the price i found for this trip, but will bear them in mind for my next round of research :)
That's a great price. We like a villa so we have our own space but some of the hotels in Orlando are really nice 😁 Dud you get all the parks for that price? Disney, universal, seaworld, discovery cove etc?
Great video. Was British airways strict with the 23kg baggage allowance. Also were you on a fare that only allowed a hand luggage. How much did you have to pay for a checked bag luggage.
We had luggage included on this trip, but I'm going to NYC with BA in April and just added 1 x 23kg bag to my flight which cost £55 each way if that helps
Hiya sorry to message you on your holiday but I’m looking to book a DIY trip and BA want another £700 to fly to Orlando rather than Tampa. Would you recommend Tampa/ is it worth the saving? Thanks
Absolutely!!! Tampa was easy to pass through and a straight road to Orlando 😁 that's if your driving, not sure how much ubers etc would be though. Usually the flights are alot cheaper into tampa too so bonus.
Also, I like to play around with flying into Orlando and out of Tampa etc. This trip we are on now, I originally booked in into and out or Miami as it was tonnes cheaper than Orlando. However, a month later u checked again (because I'm a geek and love researching flights- even after I've booked 😂) and after playing around with airports, I found flying into Orlando and out of Tampa to be even cheaper so changed it to that! So we flew into Orlando coming over here, a d will fly out Of Tampa when we go home on Monday 😁
I find it strange that most of the UK Florida vloggers shop for groceries at Walmart and Target. Those are the worst places to shop. Walmart if you want to buy HUGE sized packages maybe, but Target is outrageous for groceries. You would think those that are repeat travelers would figure out where to buy groceries from actual supermarkets outside of the touristy areas. And for basic things like ketchup, mustard and toilet roll, you can get them at the dollar store even.
Excellent observation, with reasoning I don't have other than I know the cost of heinz Ketchup and mayo in the UK so can't help but compare it....where as I've never rented a 4 bed modern villa with a pool in the UK to be able to compare 🤷♀️. It's also not $6,000, more like $3.5k but I understand your point ✌️
Hi Michelle, I don't currently have Instagram....Still using good old fashioned Facebook 😂 perhaps I should look to join the 21st century with Instagram though 🤔😂 x
