"Wasting my young years" is the universal anguish that ends first love: the realisation we're maturing at different speeds. In a parallel universe with a suitable time-shift, we made it. But in this one, it is over and we feel the agony of loss (she sings).

Hannah Reid has a marvellous voice - very reminiscent of Judy Tzuke. Haunting song and sounds just as good on this live version as it does on the album. People who expect the live version to sound EXACTLY like the album have very unrealistic expectations.

London Grammar is an extraordinary group of talent. And that voice...wow. Just, wow.

Very dissapointed with this performance. Nothing like the album version, didn't like the breaks she took between the "high" notes, and why did they lower the pitch of the tune, does it make it easier for her to sing it or something? And it's not even a live performance, which means she be even worse on stage. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent performance. But the album version wasn't decent, it was heavenly.This is not.Really hope that they were just experimenting with this performance.

Sorry, one more thing. "Studio efect" is quite unfair, I should be more specific. All I meant is that her voice was doubled up for parts of the chorus on the album version, it wasn't manipulated to make her sound better. You could get the exact same sound with her and second person singing at the same time

@Kristian, I mean,they could of had several attempts at this recording whereas a live performance, everything has to be right first time I was just coming back to correct something i said,because the pitch actually hasn't changed massively as I though (been listening to both version extensively), so sorry about that. But the quality of her voice isn't what I first believed it to be, I didn't realise the chorus on the album version was a studio effect rather then her voice. Good singer,though
