I really like the compressed review - way better than the 40 minute diaries that we often see on YT. Hits all the high points & eliminates the nonessential stuff. As others have noted here, keeo doing 'em!
There is something in your approach that is refreshingly different to the many guys who do these reviews on YT. Not just in terms of getting to the point (as others here have mentioned) but in terms of what you focus on. Very watchable!
Gosh the food looks good and of course it's now non-stop . How brilliant ! A very pleasant and informative film . Makes me want to fly there myself. Thanks Chloe . 😘
Exactly what you hope to see on a flight vid, straight to the point and all the important bits covered. I’m so excited because I’m taking this exact same flight on the 3rd of June, and not only will I be so glad to get home again, but flying premium economy for the first time. 💗. Thanks for this video, it’s given me so much to look forward to.
:Looked good! It's a long old haul and 6 hours sleep still left you 11 hours awake - but you sounded pretty chipper at the end of it so i guess it was good! I wanted to do this route, but all things considered, it ended up better value to go SQ Business class on the A380 LHR - SIN with a stopover in Singapore, then Perth. But I also had some internal flights (Learmonth to Perth, PER - BNE) before BNE - SIN - LHR. I adore Perth so next tiem will try to do this Qantas flight, but I'd need Business Class - I can't do that long in a seat in one go. Hope you are enjoying the wonderful Perth summer!
Thank you for the video, it brought back memories. We did this flight a few years back & found the 17 non stop hours on the plane a bit too much. The drinks helped a bit but will choose other routes next time. Big cheers from Melbourne 🍷!
Yes it’s a very long flight, I bet the drinks help. If you can fly premium please give it another go, it completely changed my journey, very comfortable! Only problem now I need to do it everytime - better get saving on points!
Hi, Chloe... I'm new to your channel and must say how nice, brief, and concise your review was with this flight. I've never ridden in any premium economy seating arrangement, but have flown numerous first-class/business-class seating arrangements. I'm sure that Dreamliner from Boeing was a very nice layout for you.
Can leave the pretzels. Flew prem to Auckland on Qantas in Feb 2024 via Singapore on a 380. You learn what seats are the best and need to book them in advance. Middle seats last row. Only 2 seats the one on the left has heaps of leg space. Cabin crew was a bit of a boys club though from Singapore. UK to Singapore crew had a bit more class.
Super helpful as we are debating wether to fly directly next Christmas! Did the plane feel spacious as I understand it’s only one level and smaller than the planes used for the indirect route? What time did you take off from London?
It was a really good flight, I’ve flown direct to Perth many times but always economy so nice to fly premium. Was the best flight I’ve ever had as very comfortable seats and felt really looked after by the stewards. Took off at 12.25pm from Heathrow on a Tuesday and landed 1pm Wednesday in Perth!
Thanks for keeping it short and sweet. I lived in Aus for 6 years - Syd - back in the 90s and get back when I can (I'm in the UK). Last time I did business with Finnair via HK for £3k (on my own). Promised myself I'd do it one day. Now econ is about £1k and premium economy about three times that. I have done PE to Aus before and it's not worth the extra £2k. I'd rather put up with econ and have an extra £2k to spend. As for business, that's now about £5500; for two of us you're talking £11-12k or more just to get there and back. Not happening. Though I will admit doing the trip in business is a whole different experience...
I just flew LA-Melb Qantas Business on the same plane. Honestly it's not a great business offering anymore. Staff amazing but other than that I think its almost better to fly Premium Economy if purchasing and saving a few $$ thousand.
best airline review in a long time...short and sweet...i hate anything over 5 mins...btw do they have wifi on board? is it free or a subscription? and do they let u use the airport lounge while flying premium economy? tks
No wifi and no lounge access with premium. It’s a great flight in premium, not sure how I will do it in economy next time! Hopefully I can save enough points for it again.
I’ve done it many times now, but that was first time in Premium - I tell you what it did make a huge difference, but now I only want to fly Premium, so gotta keep saving the points!
@@Onthegreenwithchloe that's fine if you are a regular flyer with Qantas, given their recent troubles they may decide to get generous with their points
Seat recline? Can we sleep properly ? Curious. I bought Premium Economy. But I’m someone that’s tall and can not sleep in a seated position. Wondering if I should cancel or upgrade. Paris to Sydney flight. Still time to change.
Depends, for a flight of 16 hours yes I think it would be for comfort level. But otherwise I wouldn’t pay for it on anything shorter even when I fly via Singapore/dubai. So I’ll keep saving my points!
We did this in 2018 - my two sons sat beside me, one (aged 10) got up every hour (of the 17) to use the toilet as it was such a novelty for him…I didn’t sleep…
@@Onthegreenwithchloe Ouch! I'm guessing that's Qantas points? London to Australia can be had for 90,000 Avios in the far superior Q-Suites with Qatar Airways.
I looked at flying direct last year as I live in Perth but a but a bit to rich for me even in Economy, Qantas have some serious issues to deal with, the flying kangaroo going through a rough trot, all at its own making.,
The shortest review of a flight i've ever seen..... especially considering it's a unique non-stop 16.5hrs flight 18-19hrs possible footage from arriving at Heathrow, crammed into 3:40s Shame
