As a qualified Counsellor I am conscious of the interpersonal skills and advanced listening Dodge demonstrates. Its harder than it looks and he is good at it. I honestly can't understand how he isn't the top UK podcaster. He effortlessly delivers a smoother interview than James English or Attwood. Definitely subscribing. 👍
Also: he is very handsome looking. Not like the typical gargoyles on youtube re: true crime podcasts. I would like to posit the following: he is top 1% for his age in terms of aesthetics for content creators. Good lower third jaw structure - hunter eyes - decent physique in terms of medial deltoids and hint of latissimus dorsi. If there's any critique, whatsoever, it would be a slightly less than optimal zygomatic arch. The question is, however; is he a shower or a grower? THAT IS THE QUESTION. To show or not to show! Et tu, Brutus, then fall Chicken Caesar with extra creamy dressing.
After watching Dodges podcast I am very pleased with the footage and I hope viewers enjoyed it too. Thanks to all the team at Dodge-wood and everyone who leaves a review. Have a great weekend. Kevin Lane
I literally can't imagine anything worse than being sent to prison for something I didn't do. How Kevin has managed to hold himself together is a minor miracle. Hope he's doing well and keeping positive, he has a great attitude to life, respect! Another blinding interview Dodge, thanks for producing and sharing this with us !
Out of all the other villains on RU-vid this guy talks 100 % straight. Definitely the real deal and has a lot of good energy. Best wishes for the future.
Watched all of Kevin’s guest appearances on podcasts and have to say he is a gentleman who speaks eloquently and concisely. you can see he is a good man and a good friend. I wish him all the luck in the world.
This man Kevin Lane states the most rational assessment of the prison system I have heard in the open forum. He should be a public speaker and advisor to the MOJ. But I dont think the system wants it.
This is the best spoken most clear thinking interview I’ve seen from a “face” completely agree with pretty much everything he says… Massive respect to Dodge as always and this gentleman 🙌🏼
You always find the most fascinating characters Dodge Great interview as always Imagine 20yrs stolen from your life and Kevin still smiles and has love in his hart One lesson he teaches us Never ever give up 💪❤️
Great interview, Kevin is a great story teller, bit hard to keep him on subject but look how much he's been through! Bought the book before the episode ended.
It’s all credit to Kevin that he’s retained his sense of humour after what’s happened to him. He’s got every right to clear his name. And he should be given leave to appeal because evidence has come to light that proves he’s innocent. Who’s the criminal him or the system that put him there. Good luck to him I hope he gets his sentence squashed and he gets compensated for every year he’s spent inside, Another great interview Dodge .
@@cdog3609 Can't blame a guy for trying. If I was a millionaire I'd hire him to record my digestive tract after drinking a bottle of laxatives. Hope this helps.
Great Interview Dodge! you actually let Kevin speak unlike some others. My book arrives tomorrow🙌🏼❤️ Justice will come🙏🏼 Kevin has always been a funny loveable rogue 😅xx
This has got to be one of the best interviews I’ve seen on these various podcasts!! Dodge is the best interviewer Ive seen tbh no cutting in or talking over just flows along brilliant!! Kevin proper chap no bollox talk really enjoyed it!! Will be getting his book 📖 love a good read keep up the great work dodge 🙏☝️⚒️⚒️
Brilliant interview, Kevin is a great guest and telling a real story which would have broken 99% of men, cannot wait to read the book and wish all the best to Kevin and hope you get the justice you deserve, good luck and have a long happy life outside of the prison. 1:32:09
Dodge, just subbed of the back of this interview, brilliant and such a great interview from you, and like you say fascinating stuff, yes Kev waffled lol but it was good waffle. Thanks to the both of you for a truly great piece
Great bloke. I hope he gets Justice. I’m amazed he is so well adjusted. Be a good mate to have.I must read his book.best of luck for the rest of his life.
I’ve been looking forward to watching this. Kevin’s book Fitted Up & Fighting Back is a compelling read that I highly recommend reading. I can only hope Kevin is successful in overturning his conviction.
I've heard that someone serving a life sentence has to admit to the crime & do various courses in order to be considered for parole & therefore get out of prison. Here lies the issue for the innocent prisoner, how can you admit to something you didn't do? If you don't you're not getting out on early release & thereby serving the whole sentence even though you're innocent. It sounds unbelievable, but there are some people who are innocent stuck in the prison system. 🙄
This is so good I've watched it twice. Kev was a friend of one of my family. I remember him well around Ruislip and parts of Northolt and know people who worked for him on some of the pubs and the Astoria. Good old days. He's a force to be Recond with. Nice to see he's turned he's life around it comes to us all and we are saddened of the news of he's Recall. Bless ya Kevin keep marching forward mate.
Lots of loveable rogues on these Podcasts. Some of Dodge´s guests have come from horrendous backgrounds in chidhood and so forth. Intriguing interviews, thanks Dodge!!
It’s because they’ve spent years in jail - never worked - or had late nights out when they were younger . They’re lives have been wasted . Charles bronson is out soon . ❤
Love this interview. Kevin Lane is an absolute gentleman with very good morals. Such a shame what happened to him but it’s good that he still kept his upbeat personality and wrote a book on it all. I wish Kevin the best of luck for the future ❤
Kevin Lane is ...kin legend, an innocent man who beat the odds. I empathise with all he says. Old school values and morals and a proper man. Being inside in those days was easier on proper people than it is now. Believe me...
He's a very interesting character you can tell he is a man who has a lot of self belief he's very self assured. He's also done all that time guilty or not he's very well balanced he doesn't seem to let things eat away at him. I hope he gets the justice he deserves.
Love Kev I've rewatched 2 of his podcasts today this is the 3rd he's very straight talking and positive after all the time spent behind the door for a crime he never committed. I wish you all the best kevin
Wild how this amazing podcast is hidden by the algorithm. Like really YT? Now that I found the channel, subbed, only now am I seeing loads of the videos suggested. I watch this type of stuff, search it out, even listen to it while going to sleep... but YT only now recommends me the channel? This is 500k-1mil sub channel, the studio: A+. The guests: A+. Why does YT pick and choose who they allow to do well in the algorithm? This podcast, I think is positive, it shows crime doesn't pay in the end, but also don't judge everyone on the way you grew up, not everyone had it decent, so maybe instead of sticking your nose up on someone down on their luck, you think, maybe I should show them a bit of compassion, maybe I should call my mom and dad and thank them, tell them I love them. As someone who grew up in foster care for 7 years and both my parents are dead, didnt have anyone to guide me, I can relate to many of the guests I've heard on here, as I've done alot of thr same dirt. Luckily my son is off to Uni a year early for electrical engineering, never been in a fight, didnt lose his innocence, he never had to lose the hard way as I made sure he learned from my mistakes, so everything I went through wasn't just for nothing. Anyways I love this podcast, the host is brilliant, 59k subs just doenst make sense,
What a lovely comment and really appreciate you taking the time to give your feedback! Have a lovely day wherever you are in the world. All the best Dodge 👍🏼👍🏼
This is far more common than people believe. I know someone who has already served 28 years for something they did not do. I will not mention names as they are due for a parole hearing. That said there is a crazy situation going on. IE they were supposed to do a series of courses in prison before release on a 15 year sentence. Only about 8 courses (3 month courses) so plenty of time. Or so you would think. They had done all but one two decades ago. However the last course is a nightmare to find somewhere running it. So basically they are stuffed as it it almost impossible to prove you did not do something if you were in the area and were otherwise identified and they cannot get access to the course specified by the judge.
I don't think we realize how bad the US prison system is until we hear about the way it is in other countries.. he saidthere were 5 murders in a year in one of the prisons and how bad its getting. That's every month in many US prisons and it's been that way for a long time... That system is so flawed..
Very interesting interview, Dodge. Kevin came across really well and shouldn’t be judged on any violence he needed to employ inside when he should never have been in there for that. I’m nearly through your back catalogue Dodge…chop chop let’s have another one! 😂
Wow, just wow. I truly wish I had an adult male like Kevin in my life growing up. I cannot begin to imagine how you kept your morals and values, especially after going through what you have but what a true gent and an inspiration. The education system needs male role models like you to be around young guys who are lost and easily influenced.
This guy is so genuine it's unbelievable. The police are the ones that should have been locked up for fitting up Kevin. He see it in the interview he don't like talking about the violence. He wants to leave the past in the past. Good luck to you Kevin. Keep ya head held high my friend
Absolutely brilliant. Strength and honour! Let me guess why someone wants you bumped off rather than getting the frame-up recognized. Last time I looked, and that was 1984, compensation for wrongful imprisonment was over a grand per day. Yes, that high. Because there was a massive list of all the rights one was deprived of, from choice of what tea you drank with how much sugar, to walking down the street (that's on a par with being kidnapped), to deprivation of marital rights. There's a thousand things a free person can do every day & everything on the list has its compensation price. Probably someone high up "in the system" is hiring a hitman to save the state a multi million payout, which (as you've become high-profile) will re-set a precedent which has been swept under the carpet for quite a while. The police system and cjs is --- people forget this --- first and foremost a business, whose job is to make money. By getting arrested & jailed you have kept countless people in jobs, some paid at the top end. Nobody's going to want to have to pay that back + more. My mate was framed up for something and got 20 years --- he didn't have your strengths and died there. He'd been so shocked by the bent court case he was too shaky to appeal. Never wanted to see another court case in his life. I wish I could send him your book.
A absolute gentleman, a lunatic if pushed but a gentleman nevertheless. Everything he says about the Prison System is 100% correct, also the institutional corruption in the Police and Courts and most of all the Government. He pretty much stands for everything I stand for regarding wronguns. May he be blessed always 🙏
Brilliant interview I could listen to Kevin all day, he's got some story's to tell. I'm glad he's doing well for himself he deserves it, all the best Kevin.
Good luck with everything Kevin great story come across well look forward to more podcasts you are on. Well done for not giving up, and I hope everything works out for you. Good and powerful podcast Dodge well done.
Great interview I know an 11 year old boy now who has been discarded by the system . no school will have him his dad dont want him . he will go the same way and end up in lots of trouble
Great podcast as always,I always late too the party but glad I come. Listening too your guests life experiences are a real eye opener,. Glad too know there's guys like Kevin still around, although the last of a breed that are becoming few and far between. 🙏 For bringing it,I shall certainly be reading the book.
This is by far my most favourite podcast. Top bloke and speaks with compassion and honesty. People don't realise it but just listening to other humans like Kevin can change your life. Thank you
Talking about the lorry load of computers, I used to be involved in a few of them but it all changed when they started splitting shipments, monitors came in one and keyboards in another 😂😂😂
