When I was looking at migrating to Canada twenty years ago, it was the rule that I would become a permanent resident, but that wouldn't have granted me the right to vote; for that I would have had to have been in Canada for five years before applying to be a citizen. I live in Kensington. You are not wrong chick. The night time economy has gone to the dogs. The mayor is paying a 'night czar' 150K a year and has been doing so for around four years now. And in that time, it's gotten worse, much worse. My all time favourite boozer that was just round the corner from my house has just closed down. After 350 years. Had some fabulous nights out in there. But it's gone. Will not be reopening. Property developers are already sniffing around the gaff.

And when there is an Islam majority Khan will introduce “DRY” areas . The London pub will become a rarity.

@FDFnetto Aww that's rubbish lovely. So many have gone around my way too. I live just outside of Nottingham. And same also, most of them are converted into flats or convenience shops. And yes, I've read about the amount of money that absolute melt has wasted.

There is so much more at stake than pubs and nightclubs. That is half the problem especially with the younger generation, who have no idea of our rich history and culture and care even less. If the pubs are shut that seems to be their main worry. They'll have a damn site more to worry about in the future than rubbish nightclubs. We won't survive because over decades the roots have been severed and now people see being English only in terms of 'partying' Lose your roots and people are just flailing around and then are easy pickings for the stronger more together cultures. That has been the plan and sadly it's working.
