Walking in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames along the Kew Riverside Path, part of the Thames Path, on a beautiful spring day, from Richmond Riverside to Kew Railway Bridge. This peaceful, nature-filled walk runs alongside the River Thames to one side and Kew Gardens to the other, with picturesque views and birdsong along the way.
Sights seen include: Richmond Bridge, Richmond Bridge Boathouses, Richmond Riverside Waterfront, The White Cross Pub, Corporation Island, Richmond Railway Bridge, Twickenham Bridge, Richmond Lock and Weir, Thistleworth Marine, Isleworth Ait, views towards Isleworth and All Saints Isleworth Church, Old Deer Park with view towards an Obelisk and King’s Observatory beyond, views towards Syon House, Syon Vista within Kew Royal Botanic Gardens, views towards Brentford and Brentford Marina, Kew Palace, Kew Marine, Kew Bridge, Kew Pier, views towards Strand-on-the-Green in Chiswick, Oliver’s Island, and Kew Railway Bridge.

For people who don’t know the city very well this video is a welcome change from the ubiquitous London Eye, Buckingham Palace etc. tourist hot spots. I love this walk which I take regularly between May and September when everything looks it’s best. Always go further than Kew and usually finish at the White Hart, Barnes situated by the river. Nice atmosphere, food ok but could be more generous - lol.

This walk is a Classic, absolutely beautiful. Walks in and around London just don’t get better than this one. I prefer to do this walk in reverse, rather than walk away from the hustle and bustle of Richmond. I like to walk towards it, with the promise of things to come, in the form of refreshments in one of Richmond’s delightful pubs. The only downside to this walk, is that you have to do it all at once, as there are no turning off points.

We used to visit London about every two years, but for obvious reasons, haven't been able to do so lately. However, your videos have filled this void for us. Our habit is to do just what you do: Walk around different districts and take in the sights. We like to try to follow your progress in our A to Z. You could help make it clearer for everyone where you are walking if you would make a point to get a clear shot of the street signs or, failing that, toss a quick street name graphic on the screen. This may be a bit redundant to Londoners, but it would be a big help to those with a bit less of The Knowledge. In any event, thanks so much for what you do. It means more than you can know.
