Dear friends, in this third part of my London video series, I take you to Southwark and Southbank, two dynamic, vibrant and amazing areas of the city.
Starting from the wonderful and impressive Tower Bridge, truly one of the icons of London, you will walk with me along the beautiful Queen's and the banks of the river Thames discovering and admiring different but always incredibly fascinating views of London.
First the scenery of the City, with its impressive skyscrapers and next to them the extraordinary Tower of London, then the view of the spectacular St. Paul's Cathedral and then cross all the bridges, so suggestive, fully enjoying the atmosphere of this part of the city.
Along the way, the wonderful Southwark Cathedral, not to be missed a visit inside and the Borough Market which I hope to be able to visit with less crowds on a next occasion.
Unfortunately I didn't shoot almost anything because there were just too many people. Impossible to move, but it was the Saturday before Easter, certainly not the best day to visit this famous Market, which I highly recommend to everyone.
For cinema lovers like me, who want to look for gems related to famous locations, right next to Borough Market, I found Bridget Jones's apartment, where many scenes of the famous and funny film with Renée Zellweger were shot. I like finding these locations, it's a lot of fun. You will find more in the next videos.
And then the very famous Shakespeare's Globe, the reconstruction of the theater that housed the theater company of the great English playwright and the Tate Modern.
And always walking along the Queen's Walk, fully enjoying the unique atmosphere, we will arrive at the Golden Eye, the Ferris wheel that has become a must for visitors from all over the world. In fact, from up there you can admire so spectacular and breathtaking 360° views of the entire city and beyond.
A bit expensive, to tell the truth, but certainly an extraordinary experience to have to enjoy this extraordinary city fromsuch a unique perspective.
The walk along the Thames is therefore truly unmissable. If you visit London it is a must to truly get a unique view of the city from its river banks.
