Yep, all comes down to costs. TfL have screwed the contracts down to the bare minimum so cosmetic work is only undertaken when essential. First, Abellio, Tower Transit, HCT group and Sullivan Buses all got out of London as hard to make a profit now.

@@BristolRE Yeah I don't blame them, thing is Australia has gone the same way with a TfL style model, but I wonder if this will mean bringing back LT as Stagecoach have TfL interior for their new buses, especially electric ones

I'm not aware of any 4 day rotas in London

​​@@BristolREI've heard they exist at Rainham, so must be rare. I've also heard that the 8 o'clock starts at UX have only been around since last year. Would evening drivers have gone to the union for it to happen then?

@@mohibj Certainly drivers can get together and go the Union to ask for a change in rota etc, would need to be a majority wanting it though

@@BristolRE talking of Uxbridge, have you heard that the U1/U3 merger has been called off? Agencies like London Travel Watch have suggested merging the U1 with the A10. Would be great for the A10 to become part of U-lines.
