The only bottle of fine wine I ever had was in London. Well, the only bottle that was over $300 . That’s fine to me. I suppose I was privy to a $12,000 bottle at a dinner party in the Hamptons. My glass cost $1200. Wow. A bit above my means
Your 300 bottle would most likely be of equal quality to the ones in 4 figure plus territory, just not as collectable or rare. There is a ceiling to wine imo and many vintages would be likely corked (at certain degress) at this stage so it's not about the drinking anymore.
So..this is what the Wall Street Journal is all about ..huh? ... did you guys buy a nice bottle of wine (and expensive one) for your colleague Romney as a consolation reward?....
I don't trust such a large collection of vintage wines concentrated in such a small area.. there has been many scandals in the wine world where a lot of these "rare" wines are counterfeits. If it looks too good to be true, than it most likely is.. in this case either the owners of Hedonism Wines is looking the other way, or they are being swindled. Even counterfeit wines is big business these days, people just pretend it's the real thing. The ultimate "king is wearing no clothes" lesson.
