It's crucial to recognise that in the ultra-luxury real estate market, such as these top-tier London properties, 'value' is a fluid concept, heavily influenced by unique attributes and market sentiment. These asking prices, while reflecting factors like exclusivity and location, don't always correlate with intrinsic value, and as a result, many properties don't sell at their initial listing prices. This discrepancy underscores the complexity and distinct dynamics at play in valuing such high-end real estate assets.
Are these properties freehold or leashold? If leasehold, wouldn't the remaining length of the lease play a material part in the price/value of the property? Is this as big an issue as it would seem to be, especially in London?
Before Mr Chinaman, the Rutland Gate house was owned by the Saudi Royal Family. Opposite that gold bath are 2 showers, one with gold fitments and one with silver.
I don't think they're listed by the same agency. It looks like you have to look each one up to see who is selling it. Chelsea Barracks is Sotheby's and House of Gucci is Beauchamp Estates.
I'd rather live in a carriage house in some Mews...near Belgravia or Mayfair...I dislike ultra modern interiors like most of these are. They have little character and most of the furniture looks uncomfortable.
I lived in london I use to rent half a room in a subrented counsil flat with 5 other people. And this was expensive to me in that time i.agine didbe even know the magnitude of some of those properties
And anyone needs this amount of space & opulence because? It’s just stuff, just shows the level of greed in high society, nothing to be proud of in my opinion. Would be more impressive if there was no homeless in London Disgraceful flaunting this level of greed
In all honesty I find these mansions to be sterile and soulless. Furthermore, their opulence possesses a certain vulgarity. I don't speak from envy or jealousy. I am an ordinary working class woman who is a retired Midwife and Staff Nurse in the North West of England and I would much rather live in a cosy cottage or terraced house.
Leave out the music. I come here for information & images. If I wanted music I'd go look for music wouldn't I ? Also then I get to choose what music I listen to not what you think people should needlessly listen to 🙄
