Welcome to the next update video!
Pretty much a continuation of last time, i continue the scenery work on the new area by sorting the hillside and extending the bridge for a scenic break.
It was about time i ballasted the rest of the yard too!
Also, having a rethink on the smaller layout, i have an idea in my head so i suppose i ought to get started!

Using scrap pieces is always good, I keep a large plastic container full of scrap materials..nicely done and thanks for sharing your work…

My current layout is Walmington-on-Sea - a Dad’s Army layout. My collection of locomotives are Southern Railway steam locomotives and my son has just completed turning it into the Dad’s Army layout it is.

Thanks for the video. Think you mentioned in another video about replacing the left hand point on the new scrap yard sidings with a right hand - I think it will look so much better if you did that.

Gee, that last build update video is doing well. Most people can't work out why 1 video does 10 times better than the last. Maybe it's a good sign for this video. 😊 You're right though, that bloke doing the ballasting made a terrible mess. you should have a word with him. Nice update mate.👍

Yeah it seemed to be quite a hit! I didnt really do anything different though i dont think? If only it was always that good hey 🤓 I will tell his boss!!! She will sort him out! 😄

Regarding the previous update, the algorithm was really pushing it. Your videos have popped up on my feed every now and then, but this particular one was persistent! Got yourself a new subscriber because of it. Enjoying the videos :)

Brilliant video, as always, Eric. Great weathering on the yellow wagons. Dirtier the better !! Heljan dogfish I find a pain. Nice wagons though. I have a rake of 10 and the couplings are cr@p. Don't get de-railing problems though (apart from when pushed !). Waiting to see how you're going to do your canal water. Great idea on the exhibition layout.

Gotta be filthed up!! The dogfish i will need to sort out soonish, theyll go nicely with a pannier tank. Im still too scared to do the canal 😂😂😂

Great to hear the locomotives as well as seeing them move!! Three of my locomotives have DCC Sound fitted to them!! They’re the Wainwright C Class, the Southern T9 greyhound and the little M7 tank locomotive.

Wow!….youve made some good progress Eric! A bit of feedback though…the virtual quarry track would not be weathered like that irl as there arent trains running. Would it not be more clean and dusty? Just a thought not a criticism by any means mate.

Great video dude. The layout and mancave are really looking good. @39.26 Have you tried using paintbrushes rather than your fingers to apply paint? 😉 It's not quite as fun, but its more accurate 😊
