Several times I've stayed at The Grosvenor (now Amba Hotel Grosvenor) which is attached to VIC. I really enjoyed revisiting this station through your video.

Honestly, the simply things I miss from home. Like, stopping in WH Smith's and reading my phone magazines (back in the mid-late 90's), and getting sausage rolls from Greggs!!! I remember my days of running for the tube! Bethnal Green to Archway... PS: I like the commentary, and the knowledge sharing of the stations, and such. Nicely done.

Really enjoyed this video Angela and found the insights into the history of the station very insightful. And as a station I've not been to that often, I learnt there were shops/food upstairs! No idea how I've never noticed the escalators and sign!

Stop video 7:41 This is the shop I worked and these are the baguettes I made 30 years ago. Of course shop was different from now. But lots of things are the same. Even the style of baguettes.

What a wealth of information. Yes. I absolutely adore how you so easily put things into context. People who are not living in London don't notice things like, "In this road are all the major government buildings.", but we would really like to know those things, so that London isn't just a bunch of houses without a context. Like "This kind of people go here.", or "That kind of people meet there.". I always wandered where Londoners meet in the evening, when they want to go out, at what time, to what places they are going, how long they stay out, and how do they go back home? I mean, there are towns where people like to go out early, but in some towns they go out very late. It is true that I am too old to spend my time that way, but I am interested, never-the-less, just to see how people are living in London these days, :) . While we are at stations, the story of Waterloo station, The City, and the Waterloo and City line should be interesting. Regarding things that you didn't mention, guess who won his first major competition in Victoria Palace Theatre? I was in Victoria station a few years ago after visiting a Gastroenterology congres and it was my way to Gatwick that time. So it looks a bit familiair to me nicevideo again. Hi This is nice example of my idea of how walking videos should be shoot: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C8sQ92zTtB4.html "Walkers" usually point camera straight on. That way I can see things that are straight on, people, asphalt, horizontal signalization on streets, and cars. The only building I can see clearly is actually the building at the end of the street (on street that is crossing this one at the right angle), if there is one there. The buildings on the "walking" street I actually don't see at all. This is like watching Mona Lisa, but looking it in the direction which is parallel to the painting. I will not see much that way. Streets aren't cars, people, pavement, and asphalt, streets are buildings. So, in a video I could see thousands of pedestrians, hundreds of cars, but I may not see a single building properly. And that way every street looks just the same, more people and more cars. The only difference is if some street has less or more cars or pedestrians. See how the above video is much more dynamic. "Straight on" videos are static, nothing changes. You see something at the end of the street, and you see this coming closer and closer, for minutes. When you finally come close enough to that, you make a right turn, and again the same, minutes pass in monotony, nothing actually happens. The only thing I could add to the above video is that the walker is shooting only the opposite side of the street. That way we get only half of the story. He could turn camera to shoot his side, also. I might not see the third floor of the building, but in real life I don't see it anyway, ground floor is enough for me to get the feeling, the sense of the street.
