Sometimes getting off the established trail can be exciting ( if you don't get lost in the woods.) When you do get off the established trail you get to see many things that most people miss. Even though I am sure it was somewhat exhausting, I bet it was an experience! It all looked like a beautiful place! The wildflowers and the yellow fields looked incredible!! Gary McClure What was really bad was the heat. We always have fun though. Everyone we passed we asked the shortest direction to where we parked our car and they all had us running in circles. We thought when we began it would be a easy little hike, so I didn’t even take a hat but we of course did have water. It will be just a fun memory of our RVing days. Been there and done that. We took a hike once that was suppose to be 4 miles round trip so we thought. Well you guessed it 4 miles one way. Now hubby is use to hiking but not me so I was really tired by the time we got back and yes ours had some up and down also. Now I study the trail maps really good before I commit. Enjoy your travels. Candace Walker I should have studied the map better, but I thought it was so short it didn’t really matter, uh oh 😨 it did. The real problem was it was so hot I felt like I was cookin! Mike & Deb trekkingwiththebs.blogspot.com Well we did check it out first, I always do since I don’t do well climbing up hill, I have a lung problem, anyway I thought we were fine and somehow we got off the trail(there were so many intersecting) and then we kept asking people which way to the red trail and everyone got us lost. But nevertheless it was a great day except for the heat. Love, love the area. It will be a good laughing memory for us. Thanks my friend for watching and leaving us a comment. God bless you
