I have been following your channel for a couple of years now. You style of acrylic landscapes is the most appealing to me of all the others I have seen. I want to start painting in a similar style, but as your newer way of showing your painting, we no longer see your palette, which is a sad loss. Are you wiping off the soft blending brush when you have it off camera for a brief pause? Are you spritzing the canvas or palette from time to time, to keep the paint wet? Do you use drying retarder when wetting the canvas before you first apply the paint? I have gone through your website tips, but came away with more questions than answers. Do paying members receive access to unedited versions of your videos? There is so much peace in your methods which I really would like to learn from and attempt to emulate.

Dear artist, Thank you for reaching out to me and for your inquiries. Firstly, I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoy my art videos and that they serve as inspiration to you. Regarding your questions, I find it more efficient to prioritize demonstrating the actual painting techniques and mentioning the colors used as I go along, especially since I am using a limited color palette. As for tips on using the Ultrasoft blending brush, I have already covered this in my Painting Tips section under 'Ultrasoft Blending Brushes'. Here are the key points: - Always use the brush in its original dry state for the best blending results. - After each use, make sure to clean the brushes with clean water and let them dry completely. - If you plan on practicing blending technique or removing brush strokes, it's helpful to have a few of these ultra soft paintbrushes on hand. - Before blending with these soft brushes, ensure that your acrylic paint is adequately moist. This technique does not work well with dry acrylic paint. - Apply gentle pressure when blending. - When starting the blending process, begin from the top right corner of the area that needs blending and work your way down horizontally. Then, blend horizontally from the bottom to top. - Wipe the brush on clean paper towel or cloth after each blending stroke to remove excess paint and maintain clean blending strokes. - If any bristles shed, gently remove them using a sharp pointed palette knife or similar object, and continue with the blending. Regarding member videos, the featured art videos are presented in a similar manner, with the acrylic colors being listed on the screen for more recent videos. I hope this addresses your questions. I would've switched to fan brush for the red...and the tree branches werent ragged enough, too stylized...but the big purple brush was amazing ....i want one...his fade technique was incredilbe too...the star reflections were insightful...i did think the shorline around the tree shouldve curved more, maybe with a tiny liner brush? ...i love the contrast of o e colorful thing in a black and white...great peice!

How do you get the paint to blend? Whenever I try this way the paint dries instantly.

While I do not know the specifics, I believe it is either the use of a drying retarder, an acrylic medium or frequent spritzing from a bottle of water or likely the combination of the three.
