Bread and salt are very important, symbolically, in Slavic and Middle Eastern cultures; they're meant to represent hospitality and prosperity. I'm going to be honest with you, though, I'm not entirely sure that that's what the writer had in mind when writing the sketch.

Don't know why the video was only posted in 2013 but I know for a fact the episode was way earlier than that bc I was a Belieber at the time but by 2013, I had already stopped being one. So, the big wigs and marketing teams probably have zero integrity, but the writers are a separate entity. They work with what they’re given. Also, which guests in particular are you speaking of?
