The courtly shawzin is a very nice shawzin. The difficulty for it was easy and has some very nice songs you have to play. Wish they were added to the song list once you completed them but oh well. One can dream!
Unfortunately, the challenge songs are not actually proper Shawzin songs. The notes don't match up with what you get when you play normally. Even more, the same displayed note can make two different sounds at different points in the same song. It's pretty disappointing, really.
I found all 12 of the shawzin locations in the paradox yesterday and made a map with some images to help find the exact locations in the warframe forums if anyone needs help to find it.

I'm more than happy to help out here. Ever since the shawzin first released with gauss I have been addicted to them and have collected every single one so far without fail and I figured i'd give back to the community with this little map. Can't wait to see what kind of show you can put on for us.
Oh dude for your explanation of why Shawzins sound like they do, it is technically space magic but it goes deeper than that. Some shawzins use the void so they aren't actually playing what you're playing when you play the instrument, rather it sends a sound through the void to conjure a different existing sound in it's place, this can be seen when that weird glow appears on your warframes pick when she plays a string. In this case, you play your string and your shawzin sends from the void a sound of a bell trapped in the void in place of the string. In the case of the song of the void, you play your string and the shawzin sends from the void a cry of a somber soul trapped in the void in place of your string. But this is just a theory.
Hey, with the new bells, is it okay to request the Final Song (Black Song, White Scales) from Drakengard 3 or Chaper XIII- Closing from Drakengard 1, if they're possible to play?
I don't really take Shawzin requests, but I am pretty hard up for ideas on what to do with this Shawzin. That first one would be an absolute mess with how fast it is, but the second one I may end up doing at some point.
OK, I've been searching all over the interwebs for this and can't find info anywhere, so help me Buff0-Wan, you're my only hope. How the hell do you play these things?! Okay, yeah...I'm a Boomer who never so much as glanced sideways at a Guitar Hero game, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to play it even on novice. I'm on KB/mouse on the PC, and managed to figure out that the 1, 2 and 3 key corresponds to a plucked string. After additional time, I noticed something about frets over on the arrow keys. I don't know that I have eye-hand coordination sufficient to do two totally independent things with both hands. I noticed in some gameplay videos some are using their mouse buttons to fret, I'm not sure if that's any easier or not. Any tips for a shawzin newb? I've been playing the game for 10 years, and have shawzins...on my wall in my orbiter. I can't honestly say I've made any attempt to play them apart from some very amateurish plinking and then back on the wall it goes. Is this any easier with a controller perhaps? I realize this shouldn't be rocket science, but it's frustrating to leave Decrees on the table because I lack the fine-motor skills to play the songs. Hoping you or someone in the community can help. Thanks.
The frets are your arrow keys, Left, Down, and Right, respectively. A lot of people have rebound some controls to mouse buttons, but I don't think it makes it any easier. Right now I can't recommend a controller, they changed the default controller bindings and there's some issues with it. Like anything performance-related, it takes practice. The shawzin is actually significantly more difficult than guitar hero. You really do have think about two things simultaneously. As each note comes down, you have to hold down the right fret key/keys, and then when it hits the bottom you have to hit the right string key at the right time. It helps if you can look ahead. Look at the note coming down, get your fret key down, get your string key ready, and then look at the next note while the first one is still coming down. A lot of times it will be the same fret. Use your peripheral vision to time the key on the first note while planning ahead for the next one. After a while, you may be able to look a few notes ahead. This how musicians sight-read music, at least ones that aren't terrible at it like I am. Start with the "normal" version. It's pretty forgiving, you can basically miss one note for every three you get right. I have almost no practice and I was able to stumble through most of them on Normal and then on Virtuoso first try, but it's possible my musical background is helping me. That's about all the advice I got. Honestly, I wouldn't get too worked up about it, there are plenty of sources of decrees in Duviri.
@@Buff00n Thanks, this already helped a bit. I thought you had to whack the fret keys at the same time you hit the notes, so I was trying to pound furiously away with both hands. Now I'm hearing you can just hold down the fret keys, pressing and holding them until a fret change occurs. I honestly couldn't get past the first 5 notes on Novice, it was embarrassing even though I'm the only one who saw it. LOL Doesn't help that I have next to no formal musical training at all. I took a crack at guitar as a kid and had a good ear but lacked the discipline to a) practice and b) make the proper mental association with the notation on the staff with an actual note. I would spend my time squinting at the page and trying to remember the old "FACE" and "EGBDF (Every Good Boy Does Fine)" mnemonics for the notes instead of building muscle memory that says, "When you see this, play that!" (Which takes me back to point A...practice. At nearly 60, I still hate practicing! LOL) I'll have to give it a try next time I'm in game and see if I can just power through it and "git gud." You've been a huge help, thanks again. I'll let you know how I make out.

I been using your videos to learn how to play shawzin. I saw the new shawzin and got excited for a new geetar only to be disappointed by bells/steel drums. Shoulda just got that electric v
Honestly, by using a map, getting the Courtly Shawzin took me like 10 mins. The songs were relatively easy (and I'm on ps5) but also sounded actually good. The design is cool and it sounds way more practical than the lonesome shawzin.

As a man who just learned to play the shawzin by random encounter in duviri and refused to give up before I could play virtuoso: shawzins are pretty cool, would play if I didn't break my setup from "the day the earth bled: virtuoso". Edit: Complete all 12 you say? well, guess I gotta git gud.
If you're talking about the control changes on consoles, I doesn't affect me because I'm on PC. However, I understand it's problematic on consoles because you can't hit L+R at the same time on a D-pad. DE knows about it, and I've already sent them a modest suggestion, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
@@Buff00n fair enough. I love that they keep adding more variety with the shawzins...i just hate that they cost 40 plat each. You can get some full warframe sets for 40 plat.
Still not as annoying as Mandachord sets costing 50p. However, the other new Shawzin is free if you find it and play it in all 12 locations in Duviri. Also, Friday streamers have Shawzin Twitch drops pretty often, if you pay attention to the schedule.
@@Buff00n Yeah i was deeply disappointed when I farmed octavia prime (skipped the farm for the normal) only to find that out. And I am nowhere near good enough to complete 12 songs on that difficulty. at least not without a guitar hero guitar controller and I haven't seen one of those in almost 20 years.
@@showaker4755 It's seriously not that hard. I'm 100% terrible at the normal Shawzin controls and I was able to do it first try on 11 of the 12. It's very forgiving.
