I like the tip about sewing the neckline with a square fabric on top, although I'd personally cut out the circle inside the square first before sewing it on the fabric! It would have been nice if, in the end, you'd have opened your arms to show exactly how the cape looks instead of folding them in that closed posture that doesn't show the design properly. (Excuse my comment, but I'm a teacher of English, so I can't help but correct things when I see them: it is never called "give a stitch", it is either to "Make a stitch" or, simply, "stitch", as the word stitch is both a noun and a verb) thanks for the tip on the neckline though, it's a lot easier than having to curve the fabric before and sew it on!
Your idea of transforming a old dupatta into this beautiful top is just superb.. you can make some more tutorial to make tops from old dupatts n saree..
