The Israeli-Palestinian conflict spans over several generations and has cost countless of lives. The conflict has both been the engine of strife in the region and been used as a pretext to justify actions by third parties. In this seminar, we discuss what has led us to this point, and what we can expect moving forward.
Speakers:
Gregg Carlstrom is a Middle East correspondent for The Economist, based in Dubai. His first book, How Long Will Israel Survive? The Threat From Within, was published in 2017.
Mariam Barghouti is a Palestinian-American journalist based in the occupied West Bank.
Dahlia Scheindlin Dahlia Scheindlin is a fellow at Century International, based in Tel Aviv. She is a public opinion expert as well as a scholar and a writer. She is the author of The Crooked Timber of Democracy in Israel, published in September 2023.
This event is moderated by Rouzbeh Parsi, Head of the Middle East and North Africa programme at UI.
