When I had a reading done I was connected to my Grandmother and when I asked about my Aunt (her sister), I immediately got "oh she's down there" as an answer. My Grandmother always tried to control her sister and they would argue all the time! My Aunt was the wild one and loved to flirt with men much younger which drove my grandmother nuts! I have followed her career and went to one of her first concerts after her Idol win. I cannot watch her show. It is literally anxiety provoking. At 53, I’ve probably seen more death and dying than anybody on this planet, having lost literally dozens of dear friends and family members, to the point where it feels like we have a curse on our family. I’m also a health care professional, and have lost hundreds of patients I grew quite close to….seems like I am one of the few that is still alive, and just barely. Unfortunately there are many many illnesses in my DNA, when I was 20 I was diagnosed with stage 4 Crohn’s disease, my large intestine ruptured, I died for two minutes, they brought me back to life, removed what was left of my shattered intestine, and found cancer that had been growing on the outside of my intestine. Long story short, I’ve had 37 surgeries, 95% of my entire G.I. tract removed, the cancer came back three more times, against all odds somehow I’m still here, but I don’t know for how much longer. With so few family left to turn to for comfort, I can guarantee you all, a death isn’t an ending, it’s not goodbye, it’s simply a transition to the next stage of existence, and is simply “until we meet again“, because I know that from seeing and speaking to my deceased family members who have come to me in my dreams and even in my waking hours. In life there are no guarantees, we can only do the best that we know how to do, I honestly believe the rest is in gods hands, and I don’t blame God for the misfortune my family has faced, but I do thank him for giving me the strength to keep fighting, I just wish I could find closure and peace….. because I do blame myself for a lot of things I feel I should have done differently before my loved ones died, things I feel could have possibly saved them from dying so quickly and so young, even though logically I know that’s not true, I still can’t help but feel responsible, and that guilt just eats me up inside, it serves no practical purpose whatsoever, but I would give anything to be able to hear from my deceased love ones the way Teresa can allow people to do. My experiences with my deceased family members are brief, and in no way am I able to have a conversation like that, and I’m still left wondering if I did the right thing. I carry so much guilt, it feels like I’m suffocating at times. There are so many days that I just can’t even get out of bed, because I am literally paralyzed with guilt and fear, feelings of intense remorse and sorrow. The only thing that gets me through is my work, because I can help people survive deadly illnesses, unfortunately I can’t save them all, despite my best effort‘s and my colleagues best efforts, there are somethings we just can’t fix, and it’s because of that fact I carry all this guilt, especially when it comes to people I love. No matter how much you think you could be prepared for the loss and death of somebody you love more than life itself, nothing can ever prepare you for the insanely wide ranging emotions you will feel after they’re gone. Most of my family members died very slowly, and almost every single time I was convinced I would be OK with it, that I had prepared myself to face it, but nothing could be further from the truth. Each time I lose a loved one, no matter how much I think I’m prepared for it, nothing ever truly prepares me for the intensity of the loss I’m going to feel. In the last five years alone I have lost 22 loved ones, because I come from an absolutely massive family, and a very close family at that. Between my spouse and myself, there are literally over 200 immediate relatives alone, I’ve got 152 cousins spread out across all of Canada and the United States, many of whom I’ve never even met in person but has spoken to all my life. That’s why I say I’ve lost more people than anybody else, but each time it happens, it’s never the same twice, each loss is unique in its own way, each one painful, agonizing, and because I suffer from a deplorable excess of emotion, it’s just swallowed me whole. What’s crazy is I chose a career that puts me in the direct line of fire, so to speak, of losing people I start developing strong feelings towards, but the Lord works in mysterious ways, and all my life I’ve always been attracted towards something that would allow me to help people, because frankly is the only thing I’m good at, the only thing I’ve ever felt useful at. But I’ll be getting to burn out fast, during Covid I’ve lost so many patients I literally lost count after the first hundred, and I remember each one of them vividly as if it happened yesterday. We all know that death is inevitable, something we’re all destined to do, but it’s not something we’re all prepared for no matter how well prepared we think we might be. While in university, we are all taught professional distancing, how to remain objective, how not to let our emotions affect our performance, but at the end of the day, we’re still human beings, not robots, and no matter how hard I try I cannot shut off my emotions. Anyways, my apologies for rambling on, I just wanted to add my two cents worth, and thank you for listening. In closing all just say this, take nothing for granted, because nothing last forever, and anything could happen to anyone at any given time, please don’t forget that, and always make sure the people that you love know just how much you love them. Kelly you gave away too much information to this medium and if this version of the story is correct, the medium was getting clarification as she knew your mum had not passed....also your stylist said no one knew about the blanket yet she admits she told her husband and his mom and his family that she had taken the blanket...so though you thought you got good evidence.
