We couldn't hear the question asked but Nick's reply hints strongly that someone just wanted to get involved and feel included. Good job Nick for not just crushing the guy for asking what I assume was a pretty dumb question. Hey RU-vid! I didn't get a notification that this was posted! I stumbled upon it because I was on the page for another reason! I rang the bell, could you keep up your end, please?

All is well if limb attachment point can support the load.

Great stuff. I would like to see more from this guy... knowledgeable, anticipates questions, and a great explainer. One thing I wish he had described more was how he got the tension out of the capture prusik enough to release the line to lower the piece..... unless his comment about comparing it to a climbing system meant that it functions just like a (e.g.) blakes hitch is loosened on a climbing line under tension(?) ... maybe I just answered my own question.

Thanks really appreciate the kind words!!! By putting the Portawrap below the prussik it take the pressure off the coils from needing to hold the friction, the hitch will still be tight but once you "crank" in on the portawrap and wrap it up it will take the pressure off the hitch. Similar to how a SRT climbing system works. The key with this technique is have the piece come off smooth shock load could jam the prussik so making sure it's a nice smooth path and a good cut is very important !! Climb safe!
