Yea if the airbenders had an army when fire lord sozin invaded it would of been the fire nation that would of been wiped out. They that scarey if they wanted to.
Well... There was this one time of a single airbender who decided to create a typhoon, and used it to decimate a whole pirate fleet. It was so brutal, and so many died, that the guy was banished in shame from the air temples.
There's a theory that Monk Gyatso (Aang's Guardian) sucked the air out of the room where he died, that's why it was filled with tens of undamaged corpses.
@@kagani6202 well I mean think about it.. monk gyatso when found dead had fire nation soldiers scattered throughout the room.. meaning he had to body them before he died.
@@davenathan2002 Yea, Firebender win that event that lead to Air Nomad Genocide but if they win why did they leave the Fire Nation soldier dead body that they turn into a skelaton ? the answer probbaly because the Gyatso was very dangerous, at the end of his lifetime and they have achieved their intention to wiped out the Air Nomad. Gyatso probbaly resolved to kill the Fire Nation soldier when he was about to die and seeing other Air Nomad was killed, he probbaly try to stick with that principles at the very beggining.
It’s actually theorized that’s how he died too. He didn’t technically airbend air out of them, he airbent out all the air in the room including his own
Asami is often just in the background, but I love how much she shines when they focus on her. She is smart, has a myriad of skills, and she generally isn't petty or annoying.
@@destroyerblackdragon I guess being smart and having access to technology like Sokka was smart and came up with technological ideas like the submarines when team avatar tried to invade the fire nation
AtLA: Ok, the writers imply that Jet died, but leave it open enough that maybe fans who want to say he survived could that possibility LoK book 1: Ok, Amon and Tarlok are most likely dead, but there's technically enough wiggle room to say that maybe Amon protected himself at the last second LoK book 2: Yeah, Unaloq is dead, but hey, he was basically a spirit at that point. LoK book 3: Yeah, Earth queen got clapped on screen. She's dead.
Also because anarchism is a much more accepted political philosophy compared to the others, hes an extremist of such but his views are more relatable nonetheless
@@msgirly6827 Because as people in our current world, we are often repressed by world leaders and are denied freedom. Hence why what Zaheer fights for is what a lot of us want to fight for.
@@msgirly6827 to be free of corrupt government and authority figures, completely self governed, no more power imbalances built on systems beyond your own control. How is that not obviously appealing. If most people have decent morals, anarchy can work.
@@YoTyr0ne "If most people have decent morals ..." You know how this inbalanced systems were created? Because people dont have decent morals. Moral alone is a subjwctive term, for some people equality of all people regardless the skin, is inmoral. I mean most people think this is bullshit and thats why we inveted systems to hold them in check. Democracy means to discuss morals and vote for an compromiss while anaechy means that erveryone fights for his morals and ideas himself. Anarchy is just a power vaaquum to give the next shit people the opportunity to build their own shitty, inbalanced system.
I know they joked about *Asami just standing in the background* during one of the scenes last episode, but she really came through this episode with her skills. lol
Earth Queen Death Puns: 1.This episode was really breath taking 2. The Earth Queen's personality was really suffocating 3. Zaheer took her breath away. 4. This episode was a breath of fresh hair
Nickelodeon during ATLA: No you can’t show Jet dying you can only imply it you violent animals >:( Nickelodeon during LOK: YESSSS SUFFOCATE THE QUEEN ON SCREEN AND WATCH HER SUFFER AS SHE DIES A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH MUHAHAHAHAHA >:)
Actually I’m pretty sure this and some of what happens in the rest of this season is what made them cancel this show and make season 4 only available on their website
@@michaelrodriguez3361 No season 3 and 4 got moved online because Nick's Mexican division accidentally leaked episodes 2-5 of book 3. Nick panicked and only did a week of advertising then threw the show out on the air. For obvious reasons it didn't get good viewership numbers and Nick was about to cancel it outright but Bryke convinced Nick that most fans would watch the show online because the age demographic that watched korra consumed lots of online media. I actually didn't even know it got moved online (cause they didn't advertise that well either) until thr last two episodes of book 3.
@@jamesalexander5559 oh okay thanks for clarifying. I aways assumed it was because in the last 3-4 episodes on a Nickelodeon show (like they say lol) the queen got suffocated to death, P’Li blew off her head, and Zaheer poisoned Korra. Not what you typically saw in ATLA or the first 2 books
@@michaelrodriguez3361 Oh I'm sure Nick gave Bryke a lot of shit for that but they did it anyways. I know they wanted to do Korrasami earlier but Nick wouldn't let them and barely let them do it at the end of the show. Unfortunately, Nick had it out for Korra cause they didn't think action shows with continuity were feasible anymore much less with a female lead and cause the show was fairly expensive to produce compared to their other shows on the channel.
@@michaelrodriguez3361 people don't say that in the comments of someone that's watching the show for the first time... They might accidentally read this. And than the whole season is spoiled for them
Can we take a moment to appreciate how often they upload? Like, there’s a new LOK video every other day, and that’s EXCLUDING the other series. MVP’s. Just don’t burn yourself out. I love watching your videos, but I love you guys even more. Looking forward to seeing their reactions to the next few episodes, especially.
Bro they already finished all of the legend of korra, even book 4. It's on the patreon. Sub to the patreon if u want to see all of thir videos. They watch alot of anime and cartoons. Last anime I remember them posting was ep 12 of season 4 of hakiyuu and last cartoon was young justice I think? They have an upload schedule and the legend of korra usually gets uploaded Monday,Tuesday, and friday.
The fact that Roshi noticed that the captain never took his hands out of his pockets is amazing observation skills. When I first seen this episode, I noticed that as well. For some reason it bothered me too. Idk why that was. Oh well.
In the director's commentary, they said it was just a coincidence that he was never animated without his hand in his pocket, so they decided to add in a little payoff with the hook hand.
@@theawesomeman9821 It was in self defense though. Check the scene where Aang found his body. There were multiple dead firebenders surrounding his corpse.
There’s a really funny gif from when this show aired for the first time. A spongebob banner popped up advertising an episode as the queen was being suffocated. Comedy gold.
I just realized that zaheers group is like an evil version of the original team avatar. Zaheer is aang. Water arms is katara. Combustion woman is zuko and magma man is toph. They ain't include the best member soka tho 😤
On the subject of dark applications for Airbending, I wonder if you could just like, manipulate air pressure? Hold a rock in your palm, put it in a mini air-ball and then just crank up the PSI until that thing becomes a bullet. Alternatively, produce shockwaves and rupture people's organs like a high explosive.
Back in ATLA we see Monk Gyatso body sitting surrounded by dozens of Fire Nation bodies in a temple room. People always theorized that Gyatso turned the whole room into a Vacuum and singlehandedly Slaughtered dozens of Firebenders. No air/oxygen means no fire, plus they were all juiced up on Comet power too.
Yooo, I like watching this with you guys. It's like chillin in the living room with my crew before I had responsibilities and before covid was a thing.
If you guys remmember when aang found monk gyatso body inside the room of the airtemple, it was sorround by a lot or fire nation soldier corpses, i think it make sense to believe that gyatso did the same with all of them, lock them in that room and take the aire from them
red lotus were my favourite things about this season. Such talented, powerful people with chill moments. Wish Ming and Ghazan didnt have to hit the bucket..
I was waiting for this episode to share a fan theory. Back in AtLA, we saw Gyatso's skeleton with a bunch of firebenders in the 3rd episode. What's interesting is that his clothes and stuff, and even the walls around him, didn't have burn marks. AND this was during the 1st time Sozin's Comet passed through, so all the firebenders were supercharged. The theory is that Gyatso knew how to do that same technique of taking the air out of every person there (including himself this time) to stop any firebending from happening, killing himself and the other firebenders in that room.
That move zaheer did was some last resort high level airbending technique that was to be used as a suicide move, that's why if you notice in episode 3 season 1 of atla monk kyatso was seen by himself in the midst of those firebenders, he must have taken the air from the room which costed him his life
It seems Zaheer's goal is chaos. However it's what would naturally arise out of chaos that he would not like. He plan seems rather short term all things considered.
