Great videos as always Kev. I've got a thing for signals so always appreciate these particular vids. Love watching meets as well. We have a house in NS down by Amherst so always appreciate any vids down by the Springhill sub as well which I think you've done. Question: my local crossing at Maccan has an approach-lit signal- do you know how long in advance they're lit? When we left to come back to Ontario a week or so ago, Maccan was approach lit clear heading down to Halifax but could not wait. When we got to Amherst I also noticed that signal approach lit clear but never saw a train all the way to Sackville.

@@davewells4936 Thanks for you kind words. I love signals too and try to get them in there some how. As to how long the signal are lit before a trains comes on the Springhill Sub I am not really sure. I do not really get down there too often. When I have they have been mostly dark(not on). When they have lit up for me the train has never been too far away. However, there was a few times when they were lit and it was a long wait. My understanding is when the RTC lines the route then they will be lit. So you never know. A lot of signals in Canada are approach lit. Meaning the signal will light up when the train has entered that block. I always thought was how the Springhill Sub was but then I saw some lights lit up well in advance of a train. The Napadogan Sub lights are on all the time and will flip green once the RTC has the route lined. Sometimes it could be 3 hours before the train shows up or 10 minutes.
