It’s definitely something I’ve been considering for the Tacoma build now. Thankfully the Tacoma is even more capable, I’ve had more years of wheeling experience and having great people around has been a plus. I’ve been looking at smittybuilt winches at the moment.

Thank you! I really miss that 4runner it was a beast but I’m now in a 3rd Gen Tacoma. I’d say the biggest downside was the weight of the bumpers, Looking back I definitely would have went with something a lot lighter from Nguyen Works for the rear and do a lighter custom front or aluminum front bumper but Everything else worked fantastic. I would now recommend going with a 3link from Optoffroad/freelgoodperformace to help the rear end cycle better with the 12in shocks but it wasn’t out yet when I did mine. I got them in 2017 or 2018. I did see they shut their doors, kind of a bummer since they really made great stuff.

That company Shrockworks actually went out of business just after Covid unfortunately. I really liked how well they tucked up against the 4runner.
