Quick question - I'm a novice longboarder who has grown to enjoy pumping uphill, carving, switch carving, and I'm now looking to get into sliding. I can do kooky looking speed checks on Stim Yellows, but want to take this further. In your opinion, would a flexy drop-through like this, lend itself to being forgiving of learning sliding? (For reference, I'm not looking to smash $100 sets of OTangs into the bitumen - rather, as a function of weight distribution and pre-lip practice for the off-season, in the context of spinning on a snowboard). Thanks in advance!

This review was amazing, I ended up buying this exact setup with Loaded Icarus flex 2, same big orangatang wheels as yours and the orange orangatang nipples and I also weigh 70 kg. However I have one problem, I get wheelbites as soon as I start pumping a little harder. The only way I have been able to fix this is by tightening the kingpin A LOT, but looking at your video it seems as if you have your kingpin very loose. How come I get wheelbites? Do you know what the cause for this issue could be? And if so how I could fix it? Should I get the purple nipples instead or what do you think? Would really appreciate some help. Thanks in advance!

I also ride Paris V2 trucks... Mine are 150mm... I'm getting a new deck (baffle 37 that is) they recommend the Caliber II trucks, but Cal II's aren't as carvy as the Paris trucks. I keep my trucks on really lose, even for downhill.. What do you think?

probably the best review of a board I've seen loved your work, how would you say it compares to the dervish sama or tan tien if you've ridden them? I have a dervish sama that needs to be replaced from heavy use that I absolutely loved but if this rides similarly I would enjoy the slight down size

If you really want know what the Icarus can do put Gullwing Sidewinder trucks under it.

I tried different wheels on it felt dead with 4prez,in heats, no energy ,,this deck works best with kegels designed for it

May I ask what made you choose the tiny fat frees over the stimulus/durians for sliding? I feel like those must feel minuscule on that board!! I was contemplating between the Kegels or Durians, but everyone seems to point to the Kegels at making this board come to life. I’ll probably go that route, and throw on the 86a stimulus when i’m feeling more drifty. Are the kegels good at controlling your speed when pushing some hard carves?
