I have 3 pliage bags, black short handle, large black long handle and the black backpack. Love them all. My first Longchamp has worn in the corners on the bottom of the bag after about 4 years. It’s 10 years old now and I still use it 😊
I use the large long handled version. The deep charcoal colour is the most versatile for me and looks great with anything except light summer clothes. Then I switch to a straw basket or leather satchel or other lighter tote. I don't use it all the time, as I find it has a limited use, but when I do I never have all of my stuff clattering around at the bottom resulting in a huge cave-like rummage for small items, so another purpose built organiser or even small bag inside is essential to keep me organised. But I still I want room for my coffee cup, brolly and a shawl or scarf or thin cardigan - so make sure the organiser doesn't cover the entire cavity floor with other essentials laying across the top, rendering its purpose meaningless as I would need to remove those first before I could access anything else inside the organiser. I don't trust the small top tiny inner pocket for anything I can't afford to lose, like bank cards, keys and so on. More likely for a tissue, to access it quickly. That's because I keep mine open to access the main cavity easily and anything valuable in that tiny flap pocket could easily drop out unnoticed. I haven't yet bought a two pocket version, as mine only has one tiny inner top pocket, but am looking now at buying a second - perhaps in a brighter colour. I don't use my Le Pliage for my laptop either, although I know some people do. With cables added I would find it weighed such a light bag down too much and could rip the nylon or stretch the seams or just feel uncomfortable to wear with no padding to protect the computer and me. So I use a standard laptop rucksack for that purpose. I don't use this tote for grocery shopping, I put purpose built grocery branded plastic re-usable shopping bags inside for that.
As a Canadian I 100% understand what you meant by there is a nack for doing something. We use it all the time in my circle of family and friends. Also I love love love Longchamp and I own four.
