I got one on the kick starter. I love it, I also think that the cone needs a lot of improvement. It fits well into my setup as I do a lot of small items like pens etc. It's great for markets as it doesn't use a lot of power

Definitely this would be awesome for engraving pens

Worth pointing out that this laser does not require the more expensive Lightburn Fiber / Galvo license as it works with the standard Lightburn functionality we associate with open frame cartesian designs. A great move on the part of Longer as , combined with the laser price, the barrier to entry for a galvo setup is even lower for existing Lightburn fans. @Steve, the one thing I've not been able to ascertain from the various videos I've watched is whether you can laser preview cutting paths or if you only get a workspace outline preview. Please advise. Thanks for the great vid.

Good point. I didn’t call out the licensing only because this is a diode laser. On you preview question, you definitely can’t outline path like you can with a fiber laser, but you can frame pretty much like any diode laser, though you do need to set the switch to turn the laser one for preview. The red dot laser is used only for focusing.

Well, not for me, but I can see how others will like this one. Especially if someone is just starting out this could be a decent intro to Galvo lasers.

Yes. Most thing I cut and engrave tend to be fairly large, so it doesn’t have much application in my world either, but if I was making jewelry out even coasters, this Nano Pro would be on my short list.

Great video and review as always. While i still really need a laser cuz ive been focusing on my health and woodworkin small projects. Im taking my obsession with a laser on the back burner although i have many ideas for upgrading my projects with a laser ill wait til i can hopefully afford one

Welcome back Corby. Please look after yourself and take care. Lasers can come anytime once you are back to full health.

Great video and right time to watch your review. I was thinking to buy galvo laser to engrave jewelry and sterling silver stainless steel and something like jewelry stuff like that. What is you other galvo or IR laser instead of this one. Because size is matter for future. Thanks

The other Galvo lasers I have are the xTool lasers which are pricey but fantastic. I also use a ComMarker Fiber laser. Only the xTool F1 Ultra offers a useable larger workspace. The ComMarker can do 200x200mms but the performance drops off quite a bit as a result

Have you run into any issues with framing when using lightburn? It’s been flaky for me, sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t.
@SteveMakesEverything
@SteveMakesEverything 17 дней назад
The framing on the regular workspace is definitely caused my a few issues, but I assume that's a software problem that they will fix because framing works fine on the rotary and the extension slide.
