I remember seeing a 4th and about 60 in an Ohio State - Indiana game that was converted for a 1st down. That was in 1964 I think. I did not see any mention of that in the video. And my father remembers Sammy Baugh completing a 4th and 70 pass at the end of a Redskins - Giants game. My father was unsure when that was but he thinks it was 1939. Maybe those two are in Part 2.

As a fan of the Ravens I have to say, that was the dumbest pass by Flacco. The season was riding on a dump off on 4th and 29. History won't remember it that way though.

In 1989 Miami completed a 3&43 against Notre Dame. Went on to score a TD, win the game and the NC. Notre Dame, with their ups and downs, seem to be in decline since then.

Ray Rice was a monster (on that play). He knocked some people down. Gave ‘em a hard hit. Knocked ‘em out cold. Hit “em right in the mouth. Left them seeing stars. They probably had to be dragged out. Most likely concussed them. He’s one tough cookie. He rang their bell.
