I don't understand why your fleece still looks so clean even on cage cleaning nights! I do my cage twice a week, but for some reason my fleece is always quite wet and I change the pads under their houses and under their hay areas every day. I do have 3 piggies in one huge cage and 2 piggies in another setup with 2 Midwest cages and then an attached area with a small animal wire pen that I keep open always with an indoor piece of carpet and a plastic tablecloth over that, and a cage liner on top. They all have more then sufficient room, but for some reason everything gets wet and kind of mucky very quickly. I spot clean in the morning and go over the whole cages at night, changing pads and sweeping and changing litter in their litter pans in the hay area. Your cages seem to look as if they stay a lot cleaner! Oh well, piggies are what they are but their cuteness makes up for it!

Do they have leaky water bottles or play with the water bottles spilling it onto the fleece? What do you have for an absorbent layer?

+skinnypigs1 I use cage liners with u haul or a few of them have the zorb material. I recently purchased large 2 by 4 c and c liners with double uhaul and some 1 by 2 liners as well, but I find that I still have to change the 1 by 2 liners daily because the one side gets so soaked if I flip it it smells bad so I wash it anyway. I do wick them properly but I guess having them in the hay area makes them get soiled more quickly. I am going to purchase a few more liners with double uhaul even though I cover high traffic spots with an extra liner.

I change 1by2 liners daily usually as well where the pigs are eating their hay. I do love double u-haul liners better than zorb for high traffic areas for absorption.

If your not going to pick up a guinea pigs poop then u have issues cause that's part of owning a Guinea pig. U don't need one if your to afraid or grossed out by there poop. I think every little thing about them is the greatest. From the time I wake up to the time I go to bed they make me so Happy. Guinea pigs are the best when it comes to making you happy, and giving u the best day ever!!

I love cage cleaning nights and seeing the pigs Rudi is so cute and when you cleaning apple and huckles cage apple is like waiting its cage cleaning night noo i dont want to get my bum washed and i think Apple and Huckle are like that deep in love that never want them to leave and my favorite liners are the Finding Dory and any forest animals and the hot air ballons

Oh my! I have never watched someone clean piggy cages for 55 minutes (or done it myself) but that was so cute! We don't have piggies anymore, but we did have a few cuddle sacks that they loved. I sure love the whole fleece idea though - that sure would have saved a bunch on the Care Fresh bedding! And I love the way you talk to all of them! So sweet!!! ❤

wont lie, super jelly that your cages are so clean looking..lol.. i have 15 piggies, 3 custom c&c cages that i designed myself. made all my own cage lliners, absorb mats, pee pads, hay pads.. 1 cage has 9 girls, 1 cage has 5 boys and 1 cage has 2 - cause one is moody..lol.. my cages are all double layer, kitchen separate then rest to help with mess.. but my cages are 6x2 with a 2x2 kitchen... attack them daily, sometimes twice a day,.. no smell.. just messier than yours..lol

Love this video! My pig Kismet is in a large wire cage. I gave her a domed round cat bed to sleep in. When I first got her, she peed in it constantly! Washing the round pad inside of it was getting old. I cut a housebreaking puppy pad to fit over the pad! Now I just wash it twice a week. I also use the housebreaking pads on the bottom of half her cage. I just trim off the excess outer part of the pad. Works great!

I know this is an old video, however, it's one of my all time favourites. Abby when you have that little conversation with Rudy about the hay, the first couple of times I seen it (and I've watched this one a lot) I just couldn't stop laughing. I absolutely adore skinny pigs! Next year I’ll be moving into a big house and I will have an entire large room dedicated to my future piggies. I want skinnies so badly, but I might not be able to because it’s an old house and it’s kinda cold. I love all pigs, so I will probably just get “normal” pigs that can handle a bit of cold better.

I love giving my little one a fresh cage. Today I gave her a bath and fresh fleece. She was not happy about the bath but she smells so much better.
