I just tried it, my voice got wobbly at the 10 second mark. I could hold it for 17 seconds though, but it sounded weak af, wobbly, got real quiet at the end. I can sing the Lindita one though properly, but i have to be real energised for that. It is easy to switch the notes. I don't know if i'd ever be able to hold one note like Natalia, and for it not to be wibbly and get quiet at the end, she's pretty cool for that.

i think her whole performance was iconic...even the mistakes or failures sounded and looked good,which is pretty difficult to get away with...she wasn t the best singer, but she was the diva of this edition

There was a prerecorded vocal this year. We don’t know how must of what we re hearing is actually sang live

@@giorgioandgiorgio7287 The note is 100% live, since it was slightly different every rehearsal & show. Even if you compare the semi final note and the final note you can hear a slight difference. The pre-recorded vocals in almost all cases were “background vocals” because of Covid. There was no lip syncing along to a pre-recorded track by any of the artists, just background vocals that added to their own live vocal.

she did great overall in the final, despite some issues, she probably was very nervous about screwing up more after that mic drop

Because it is easier to hit several notes with vocal rifts than to keep the same high note for so long in the same key without a single breathe or rift. You really need to learn about music and singing before making opinions about someone's singing

Before I get comments saying Natalia's was one single note, in both the SF and GF, Natalia's voice quivers at the end, changing between notes. Considering Natalia herself said she had the longest NOTE ever in a Grand Final, her subtle tremolo disqualifies her from her own claim

@@RafaelSilva-ws5te moldova sang the same note for the longest while Albania sang a composition of notes, dodged with lower rifts which greatly increased her breathe control in between

i timed it and got about 18.60s as an average but Paula might have taken a slight breath when she changes her note to a higher register in about 6s into the note. it's still worse than Lindita and Natalia but i think it's a close 3rd in all of this

@@36adrix im definitely not the best person to comment on how someone holds their note but Paula sings "its a miracle" before going for the note, in which she can still take a small breath to belt the first 6 seconds of the note, and then take another small breath before going for the rest of the 19 seconds. Im not saying this is true but based on what i can find out, this seems the most plausible. Natalia definitely still holds the longest singular note while Paula and Lindita varies their notes in between while going for that part, which arguably is easier as you can take very quick breaths in those intervals

@@36adrix ok yea, Paula can sing that part, i can see that now but it does sound a bit easier on her vocals than how Natalia was singing the one singular note on Sugar. I saw a comment on here saying that holding a singular note for a long time is wayy harder than just singing a long part with varying notes because the vocal chords for keeping a note constant requires a lot more work to keep it perfectly the same rather than having some more leeway with how you hit your notes, which does make a bit more sense. Compare it to Gjon's high note in the jury final, he was a bit offkey when going for it and he compensated by going even higher and he didn't struggle as much as he did in the Grand Final show but then again im not qualified to talk about this at all

You forgot the part where she needed to sing 2 minutes while dancing before doing the sustained note.

It's actually easier to sing many notes, you can sneak in a breath, but when you are holding the note you are also holding your breath
