That's funny. I'm not good with heat either. During summer when I ride I have to keep my car on so I can keep the AC on. So as soon as I pull off I get in the car and cool off. But I'm also 42. I have a theory that it has to do with blood thickness. If your blood or rbc is naturally on the the high side (which mine is and has always been) you run hot. So in my home I keep the AC at 68 degrees at all times. Also contributes to arm pump.
@15007172
@15007172 3 года назад
Rock climbers warm up their forearms on very easy routes before they progress to harder routes to avoid arm pump setting in quickly. Need to add some sort of high repetition warmup exercise to get the blood vessels open and flowing.

AJ... Your scapulas are winged and youre forearm dominant. This happens to most moto riders due to the yanking effect from fighting the bike and the gripping restrictions of moto that are magnified under stress or not consciously riding loose. Anyway... try strengthening your rear delt and lat with cable machine by doing a high to low chopping motion, like a golf swing, using your delts/Lats to squeeze the cable from high left to low right (for your right side). High right to low left for left side. Also try using wrist straps (body builder style) for lat rows (and the previously mentioned cable chop). This will retrain your body to use the stronger muscles (back) over your arms. Obviously not going for crazy numbers, just enough to undo the habit of your body wanting to be as forearm dominant. Tighten/shorten the rear delt/scapula/lat junction and retrain your back to do the work and your fore arms will free up. I'll DM you more info on IG from @nuvovision. If im wrong I'll pay for your next guest coach!:)
@AjCatanzaro
@AjCatanzaro 3 года назад
Interesting. I’ve never heard that take on it (and I thought I’ve heard every take... lol). But that makes total sense! I avoid doing rows and pull-ups because they give me arm pump, so my forearms are taking over when they shouldn’t be?
@NuvoVision
@NuvoVision 3 года назад
@@AjCatanzaro Exactly. All it will take is a bit of untraining of the arms and some more activation of the lats/delts and the tides will shift naturally. Use leather lifting straps and just focus/obsesss over the mind/muscle connection of using ALL delt and back to make the bar move towards you...your hands/fingers can basically dangle there with no pressure being added....all strap pressure. I'll send the IG video later. @nuvovision Leather lifting straps are best but nylon works too.👊
@NuvoVision
@NuvoVision 3 года назад
Last point!:) ....the nerves for the hands run in the back of your arm/ shoulder in the same rear delt/lat area that im taking about. Thsts why, when the area is strained from being over used -bc its not strong enough, it starts to effect the hands with tingling and numbness. Once the arms pump up from overuse and blood flow reduces, the numbess issue compounds. I would wake up with numb hands from the same winged scapula issue....I didn't even need to ride to provoke it.
