Richard Gere is a nice person. I was waiting in line at a bank in Hollywood, filthy from construction work. This was in the 80's. Richard was in front of me. He turned and asked me what I was working on. He was genuinely interested and present. Good things happen to good people.
I agree. I photographed him in NYC in the 90's when he was at the height of his fame. Walked in and introduced himself in a very humble way and was sweet the entire shoot. Class act.
Well, not necessarily. I mean, good things DO NOT happen to good people. I'm pretty good, NEVER harmed anyone in my life, and NOTHING REALLY GOOD ever happened to me.
He was undescribable in "Hachiko." I must have watched that movie no less than 20 times, showing it to my English Language class. Some of the students cried.
Why would she tell him he had a son now that he's dead?? You kept it a secret for the 20 years he was alive, NOW you wanna tell the man he had a son he'll never really get to know?? Sounds unspeakably cruel to me.
Totally agree! She’s just selfish, it was selfish of her to keep him from his son, selfish to keep him from his father and the ultimate selfish is to tell him he had a son after he’s dead. Now he’s grieving a loss he can’t even comprehend. I won’t be watching this movie and I love Richard Gere’s work.
@@elephantjournal China hates him because he advocates for the rights of people in Tibet. Lots of studios cut his roles because his films were restricted in China, a big market. Sad.
Gere--one of the greats. Still handsome as ever. He was apparently blacklisted for 20 years for his activism at an Oscars event, took him more or less out of many starring roles.
Suzanne clement is a very talented French Canadian actress well known in Quebec and in French speaking countries. She is especially effective in playing multifaceted characters. She also knows how to magnify and make the other actors shine to make the scenes believable.
Great to see Gere back on the big screen. He has a fantastic ability for dramas like this. I would highly recommend you watch his performance in Arbitrage. A great movie. Looking forward to watching this at my AMC 🍿
Ok, the trailer told me everything I need to know, without seeing the film. Clearly, Diane Krueger's character was having an affair with Gere's character's underaged son. Krueger was obsessed with the son, and because the son wanted to or did break it off with Krueger's character, she killed him. Gere's character begins to figure out that this older woman was obsessed (tired re-tread of Glenn Close's character "I will not be ignored!!"), and he realizes she killed his son. Rest of the film, is Gere's character trying to prove it.
The first movie I ever saw with Ricahrd Gere was "King David" where he played the main role as King David. Still one of the best movies ever made as far as I am concerned.
Been a Gere fan since 1980 (American Gigolo), Father time still remains undefeated! Gere in his mid-70's now, but good to see still acting, I'll go and see the movie only because stud Gere is in it, he's made some great movies throughout his career! thx for the entertainment.
@@JPcommunicates you communicate but you didn’t seem to understand my post. That movie seems depressing and there is too much in the real world right now that is depressing.
