I’m already obsessed with this movie, watched it a couple nights ago in theaters and it scared the absolute hell out of me. 5/5. The trailers also don’t give anything away, the best scares, or even what types of scares to expect I guess? And so when I watched it there were a few times that I wished I could have closed my eyes and covered my ears (but not really, I love being scared). The part with the Polaroid photos, I did manage to close my eyes, but now I’m curious what I missed.
I am stoked that you liked it so much, me......not so much, part of that was because I think I went in to see the movie with the the expectation of it being mainly a horror film and less of a crime drama/thriller. Also I think had the marketing not been WAY over the top for it then it would have lowered my expectations some and possibly lead to me enjoying the film more! Cage “He is a deranged Geppeto” Says possibly a good hint 1-Cage isn’t committing, yet IS influencing the murders through the occult-“Manson” type? 2-Cage is creating twisted “puppets” out of the victims, or creating “demonic/occult” puppets he sends, that then influence the families to madness Screenings (& the trailer itself) being so akin & compared to Se7en & Silence of the Lambs specifically (& that Maika’s character screaming in the car-switching to an older woman screaming-look at the car-it is the *exact* *same* car-that’s Maika older?) I don’t know why it didn’t dawn on me earlier but…hell, Maika might very well not even win, might not even get Cage…or worse Sh!t now I really can’t wait!
