I bought this back in January 2020,but never managed to sit my CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) until August 2020,thanks to Covid-19! Now after around 16 months of riding on the roads, i still love this wee 125cc! 👍❤️🙂
@@johndiehardmclean23 I can safely say my Tracer 700 is the best bike I've had out of them all 😅 But as far as 125's go, the MT-125 and WR125X have to be up there for me.
As a first time rider, im debating whether to get this one or a mt-07 or a kawasaki z650(they will be limited to 35kw). I feel lile this bike will maybe be too little but the other two i fear they will be too much to handle. Whats your opinion?
Subbed and just thought I'd say enjoying your thoughts on the 125's ...brings back good memories of my time when I was learning on my wee 125. Hats off to you for riding in all weathers mine's tucked away and won't be back out till April at the earliest. Dry weather biker here 😁
Well I've heard many now say that KTM actually stands for Keeps Taking Money...So I'd stick with the MT-125,which I was looking at again earlier as it goes...But shhh! 😉👍
Good vid mate, love the Mt's, I went for ktm duke for my 125 as the MT 125 is a bit tall lol. Would say the MT an the ktm are the best 125s ye can get.
@Wee Biker Yeah i like the KTM's aswell in both Duke & RC bodies! 😎👍 Been looking at MT-03's, Duke 390's & CB500F's recently & considering another "Stepping Stone" bike! lovl
Great wee review, a decent wee bike with a bit of go and easy on the pocket 👍 270 miles from 11 litres is awesome compared to my FZ1's I20 miles from 17 ltr 😲. Have you noticed a difference with E10 fuel? I won't use it on either of mine but £1.62 per ltr for premium really stings!!
@Michael Lilley Not noticed any difference on my bikes, but my wife is moaning about getting rubbish MPG on her Mini! 😮 If I was still running high powered petrol cars, I'd definitely be using Super/V-Power or Momentum, but they only ran right on those fuels anyway!!! 😂👍
I eyed up the 2016 Mt range when he was buying the cb500f that is now mine. They looked lovely in the showroom and if the 125 had had the coloured wheels, I may have chased one more in 2020 when I went bike shopping... I really wanted a cbr too but the ybr ended up being perfect. So that's 2 125cc models that yamaha do well. Mine was 11 years old (barely used till I added 7000 miles) and was just a delight to learn on and maintain. I still miss my little Saorsa ybr.
@Scottish Saorsa Bizarrely enough, I'm looking at mid sized engined bikes again! 😂👍 The 2 currently parked at yours are definitely on the list...Aswell as the MT03! 🤪👍
@@johndiehardmclean23 his cb500f which is the 2020 one, when he rides relaxed, similar to how you plod along on the bikes you have, he gets between 132 and 150 mpg showing on the dash, so it's properly economical. You can get one for around 3850 with 2000 ish miles at the moment. More miles, cheaper price.... Private anyway. Dealers will want probably a grand more. I love mine. She loves the twisties and is easy for a noob like me. But mine needs superfuel as much as possible and his can use regular constantly if he chooses, so his is better that way. Good few improvements on his compared to mine. The slipper assist clutch is a delight, my clutch is fine but his is so light, better torque on his too and the lovely little gear indicator is always nice, full led on his, mine is just front led. Mine (2016) they still want around 3100 for a 6000ish miles. So his is way better value for money now.
I have put 10.516 miles on the Duke since I bought it and my backside hates me :P Just think how many times I must have went to the shops to get that many LOL
I’m looking at getting an mt 125 I had a yzf 125 but traded it in for an xsr 125 but it didn’t have the power of the yzf and my arse was aching after an hour on it so I’ve sent it back. I’m looking to get the same power as my yzf as I’m a big guy 20 stone but I’m worried I’ll look stupid on it as it doesn’t look that big.
They've all got the same engine,so the same 14.7bhp across their 125 range,but agree the YZF-R125 definitely seemed quicker down to the aerodynamics,although I'm only 5ft 7.5" & 13 stone! 👍
Just got a 2022 one and done 5k miles in 4 months or so and its boring as fuck 😂 such a waste of money paid 5 grand brand new which could of got me my test, 600cc qnd a years insurance. Anyone thinking of getting one DONT!!
@@johndiehardmclean23 that's what they go for from the dealership with 2 years warranty you said you spend £400 to get your clocks fixed so who's the sucker now lol plus your year looks absolutely terrible the whole body shape changed and engines are mapped different I believe
@@johndiehardmclean23 lol 19 thousand miles? Imagine feeling good about yourself selling someone a bike with more miles than you bought it for even more money what a pos your are! Small cc single cylinders won't do more than 30 without serious problems and you just admitted to palming it onto some poor sod for 2g less than a brand new one. The emojis makes sense now you're a little girl 😂
