Exactly... and that's the point. Loni's racial comment had no substantiating relevance to Shannon's work. It was pure ignorance. Her race should have never been mentioned. It's not a joke. It's an insult... and for Loni to sit there and say that it was, is her, in my opinion, trying to cover herself in order to dilute the amount of negative feedback that she's been getting. To come at someone's craft by mentioning their race is low , ignorant and offensive. It's not a joke.

If a white woman had said anything similar on TV what might have happened to her, hmm? 🤔

My opinion wouldn’t change no matter what color someone is or who they are. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Period.

I've been around women all my life who would have said similar things jokingly. That's just one view and I'm not saying all dark-skinned women talk about race non-stop but many feel they have to because their identity within society is so heavily based on their appearance. Also, people make jokes not necessarily for others but to understand or deal with uncomfortable topics. Maybe this is her way of coming to terms with that. However, I think that instead of everyone getting angry and trying to "cancel her" or degrade her character we could all take the time to have more conversation and educate people on things like this.
