Lonzo is shooting so poorly has anyone thought about him possibly playing through an injury like Fultz. I haven't seen any of Lonzo's athleticism since his fall against Kent State in the NCAA's. It's something about his movement that isn't quick and it's impacting his shot. Some of you, who never witnessed Lonzo at UCLA or Chino, fail to realize is he is far better than anything I've seen from Lonzo in summer league or the NBA. If you put together a compilation of Lonzo's missed 3's for the Lakers and the 80, 3-pointers at UCLA, you would see there is something different about his movement. The college players defended Lonzo better than any of the NBA players who are basically daring him to shoot 3's. Lonzo shot poorly in summer league without a Patrick Beverly guarding him. He was air balling OPEN 3's. And some are giving Patrick Beverly too much credit as Lonzo didn't even shoot a lot in his first NBA game but he missed those same shots in summer league. There is something physically wrong with Lonzo and I've seen it since his fall against Kent State before the Sweet 16. Lonzo was the Steph Curry shooter at the college level not a Rondo or Ricky Rubio who never knew how to shoot coming into the league. Lonzo was known as a shooter. I think there is something physically wrong with Lonzo. If anyone had watched him play in high school and UCLA, you would have seen he was far more athletic. Even in summer league, I said he looked injured as he had no jump in his legs. The Laker summer league coach said he came in "banged up" but he still managed to do well but if you look at his jump shot, he lacks leg strength and missed a lot of easy shots as he is doing now. There is no reason for him to miss open shots when he made 3's at UCLA at 42%, 81 of them, mostly contested and well beyond the 3 point college line. You don't come to the NBA and forget how to shoot. And it has nothing to do with his form. If it was about his form, he would have been missing those same shots at Chino and UCLA but he was the most efficient shooting guard coming out of college, shooting 2's at 76% (mostly DUNKS) and shooting 3's at 41%. He had an overall shooting at 55%. Why would that change this drastically in the NBA? I think he is playing with an injury. In summer league, he missed a couple of games with a calf strain and this season, he sprained his ankle. If he's hurt, he should sit because I don't see any of the athleticism he displayed throughout his career. He is missing something in his legs. Now passing doesn't require a lot of athleticism, only vision. So he can do that but why is he shooting so poorly? There is no explanation for it but 1 thing, injured. I bet when the season ends, we may hear something. Here's a video of Lonzo dunking. Now tell me if you have seen anything like this in summer league or NBA. I think if the lakers get a couple of players that can finish going down hill, they won't need but maybe (10) from Lonzo, for now. Lonzo could still be Allstar worthy just from the teams record, Lonzo's assist and his rebounds. Recognition of Lonzo's talent to me is like the Gold/Blue dress thing, I see one thing, then others can look at the same thing and see something totally different.
