Look after your washing machine. 

If you have pets, they will be shedding a lot of hairs around your home. Before you put their bedding in the washing machine you can remove a lot of the hairs with a simple stiff brush. I use an old washing up brush. If you don't do this and put them straight into the machine there is a good chance you will block the filters. Then you have the trouble of unblocking them, either doing the job yourself or paying someone to do it.
