This duo is so much fun, I'm looking forward to watching seize them. The mediaeval facts were bizarre but entertaining. Fyi peeing on jellyfish stings does not help it may even make the pain worse.
They made a film about Richard III and Philippa Langley, the woman who found him. It's called The Lost King and it stars Sally Hawkins. Unsure of how true to the events it is but it's a delightful film nonetheless.
Aimee is right about the groom of the stool. It was a prestigious position, and it would've gone to a member of the aristocracy. You would've had access to the Kings' personal health and an important source of information for Drs/physicans. Because you would've been trusted by the king, other nobles might try to win your favour to get a step up in court or speak to the king on any private matters. Unfortunately, the myth around cutting off the breast to improve an archer skill is false. The evidence that we have is from one source who was considered unreliable in his own time. And if it was true, why aren't archers doing it today if it makes that much of an improvement. The widely accepted theory is that they may have binded their breasts, but that is it. ❤❤❤
