This 2021 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label has one of the most luxurious interiors I've been in this year. But does that matter? M.S.R.P. - $66,575.

Another Great and concise review. If anyone ever needed to buy a vehicle without a test drive. Your review of the vehicle is all we need to see. Once again, Great work.

Great review. I think the smartest thing Lincoln have been doing is focus on comfortable luxury and having great interiors.

That recently changed. You can't get the 22 way seats now. To me, the seats are one of the most critical components of the enjoyment of the vehicle.

Lincoln has really improved their interior quality and exterior appearance. Glad to see them focus on American Luxury and not trying to be a German alternative like Cadillac. JMHO.
@AutoAcademics
@AutoAcademics 2 года назад
I agree. Lincoln is finding their place in the market again. I think Cadillac can mark out their place, too, but they need to remain focused. They did well with the Escalade and 2nd-gen CTS in the 2010s, attracting a new generation of buyers. But then the 3rd-gen CTS became large and uninspiring, catering to an aging demographic once again. The V cars are great and I'm digging the current CT4/5/6 cars, but Caddy needs to stay focused across their lineup. Thanks for watching, canonlybeme4life!

The Lincoln looks great on the inside, but the exterior styling looks very 2008. Ford needs to take a look at Genesis for inspiration on how to style the exterior of a mid-segment SUV. This looks like the SUV a 65 year old grandma would buy, minus the cuisinart like wheels. My rating: B.
@AutoAcademics
@AutoAcademics 2 года назад
The evolution of their exterior design is improving, but I agree that a little more pizazz could be what's missing. (And not just Cuisinart wheels 😂) Thanks for sharing and for watching, Dexter Smith!

Wheel size is for the birds up here in New England! Pot holes year round! Give me some sidewall! Otherwise it’s a nice ride! The white steering wheel is a little much. Love the piano start an PRNDL. Glad you’re back! How’s the recovery?
@AutoAcademics
@AutoAcademics 2 года назад
Yeah, you definitely need to watch the potholes with those wheels, Torsee. I wouldn't be able to own a car with a white interior like that for fears of it getting too dirty, but man was it beautiful. I didn't think I'd like that car as much as I did. And the recovery is coming along well. Thanks for asking. I'm driving again, but still can't lift any weights with that arm yet. Still have a few more prerecorded reviews in my back pocket to edit and post before I start getting new cars again for review. Great to hear from you!

The Lincoln Nautilus is a nice vehicle and this example is no exception in the Black Label trim; however, $68k is serious money that it doesn’t seem it’s worth the price among the competition. With its Ford Edge underpinning, I think that vehicle makes better sense in its top-trim spec.
@AutoAcademics
@AutoAcademics 2 года назад
If Lincoln can figure out how better to separate more cars from Ford, they'll be just fine. If you look close enough, you can see the Toyota/Lexus genes among those cars, but Lexus has managed just enough separation to make it work. This Nautilus was really nice, though, and I'm not a Lincoln guy at all. Thanks for sharing and for watching, Martrell Videos!

Great videography you can even make a Lincoln look good :0) but at that price point it’s square against Model Y performance, Macan, and a bunch of other SUVs.
@AutoAcademics
@AutoAcademics 2 года назад
Thanks, Mitch B. And you're correct. This Nautilus Black Label is in the same price range as those cars, but you'd have to spend a mint in options to get the Porsche's interior to look as nice. And I don't think the Model Y's interior is capable of looking as nice. It then comes down to what type of vehicle you're looking for - electric, luxury, or true performance. I know which one I'd take, personally, and even if the German ended up in my garage, this Nautilus is still a really nice car. Thanks for the videography compliments. I'm definitely a work in progress. 😅 Thanks for watching!

I hope Lincoln would switch to the steering wheels with the flat bottom, it is easier on the hands. Good for traveling.
@AutoAcademics
@AutoAcademics 2 года назад
Since they seem to be getting back to their "comfortable luxury" style of cars (my take, not theirs), I don't see a flat-bottomed steering wheel in the cards. But I have nothing to do with their product planning. 😅 Thanks for watching, aperxmim!

Alcantara headliner? For real? Its a nice car, but Ford really needs to figure out how to get rid of "It's really just a Ford" moniker. Less of an issue with other brands like Lexus or Acura. As always, great video!

Outside of the Genesis GV80, we can't think of any cars below a hundred grand with that feature, Alaska Sound Guy. Very rare so we won't hold it against Lincoln for now. Thanks for watching!

Hey Alaska Sound Guy! Are you on YAA as well? I'm Lisa 2112 over there. I have to agree with Chris on the ventilated back seats, and the Palisade just wasn't cutting it for me. I really, really like this Nautilus for the relaxing luxury that's somewhat affordable without going European. Cheers!

Lipstick on a pig. This is based on old Explorer platform which dates back to Ford ownership of Volvo and Volvo’s S90 car. No matter how much they cover it with Corinthian leather it is the same junk as those Explorers whose fumes make people inside feel sick. Get an Acura RDX and destroy this relic back to last century. Good to see you back in the saddle.

Thanks, Paul M. Despite it's DNA, this Nautilus turned out to be a nice vehicle. The driving dynamics are actually more engaging than some of its competition. Plus, Lincoln used a beautiful shade of lipstick on this one. 😅 Thanks for commenting and watching!
