Glad to see they posted rangers & put up fencing. Remember last year when the lady tried to get close the bison hooked his horns in her belt loop and tossed her around for a good bit and ripped her pants off. Bison are not to be messed with & and no, they are not domesticated in the least. In 2011, along that route my group had its own encounter with a bull, 2 cows and some calfs brushing up against us. They have clouds of flies, and they stink to high heaven. They are faster than a cycle from a dead stop & its breeding season out there. They don't like the sound of loud exhaust, so it is best to keep your distance. Crazy Horse monument is privately funded & that's the reason it's taking so long vs. Mt. Rushmore, which was government funded . This year was the 84th which is a down year. Next year is the 85th where the crowds will be up over a million people there
