davids class mate is a dick but he is right dave is not cut out to be one of them, david mom is chasing an impossible dream, we should take solace at the fact that at least she died with her dreams instead of having to wake up to the harsher reality. some of us may not be as lucky as her.

And fulfilled his Mother’s dream of seeing him at the very top of Arasaka Tower.

Only problem is that David was too naive to see that he was her moon. She didn't care about going to the moon anymore. He was her moon & that's why it showed the moon in the background when they kissed. Even the final episode is called "My Moon, My Man". He kept trying to fulfill everyone else's dream & lowered his own self worth. Even with all these flaws, David is my favorite character.

@@stone_est19xx50 Yep. He fulfilled every dream in the most hollow way. Sure he got to the top of Arasaka Tower, but Gloria would be absolutely shattered to see her son in that state. Sure he kept running and became a legend for Maine, but at the cost of his life and sanity. Sure he got Lucy to the moon, but without being by her side.

(but for real-- yeah she can go away forever haha) dorio didn't really leave an impression on me... bUT her and maine? together? y e s. i think she definitely deserved more. i was more pissed off at how pilar went rather than sad. it seemed so-- geez i cant even describe it. he was fun, he was a fun character. but yes my heart is thoroughly destroyed and i think i need some chrome to fix it, choom.

@@nyxie1216 kiwi only helped lucy in the end because she herself was failed and betrayed by faraday in an obvious trap, she was a cunt tbh and I think might've even been tryna catch david's ire in that one scene but I could be wrong, overall tho terrible friend lol

A lot of what ends up making Cyberpunks “special” seems to be more circumstance than anything. Experimental tech and meds falling into the right hands at the right times. Adam Smasher was nothing but a psychotic brain attached to hardware at the end, and all he craved was mass violence and death of anything organic. David, with no way of combatting cyberpsychosis, simply gritted his way far longer than anyone could on meds alone with the help of exclusive, proprietary tech that very few other people would have survived using even ONCE. And V? V was being slowly merged with another personality through the engram chip, which incidentally saved them from an otherwise fatal accident and allowed them to stack more chrome than anyone besides Adam ever had. In the end it’s all the same. They were humans who were willing to throw the dice as many times as they could, even though they knew it was a losing game to begin with. There’s a reason why “you’re remembered by how you died” in Night City when you become an Edgerunner.

@@Awpic the ending when you give Johnny ur life is the most heart wrenching, but most beautiful ending in the game. It's so goddamn sad, and now they did it again with David.

@@AlphaQHard He isn't any better than them. He's a gangster playing their game. There's a reason he's so far gone by the end. I understand it wasn't his choice. His potential was lost, by both his own fault and by chance. That's what makes this such a good story.

And for the people at Arasaka trauma team and so on that’s justified Because of the fact that in Night city and the real world people don’t help you in your time of need trauma team is a large group of people made into purely logical people completely following orders of the client his mother dying because she didn’t have a subscription is enough reason to despise a company no humanity shown why give any back?

@@obolstudios5154 David is literally a criminal. He was thriving off of drugs, a gore/death fetish, and petty thievery, before he entered the big leagues. He's not a good person. By being an edgerunner he's literally a mercenary for hire and whether his primary target is killing other criminals or not. It doesn't make him a better person, because he's literally doing it for the money. Just because he has a seemingly noble goal doesn't change that.
