Good video. 🙂👍 It looks very similar in design and function to the Emco 3 mill. Sometimes I think we need to remind ourselves not to expect too much from such small machines. These are aimed at model makers after all, best suited to relatively light cuts in brass and aluminium.

been looking all over to fix the y-axis nodding problem, thank you. Also I feel that I have to take the whole thing, column and all, off the table and lay it on its side, so the head is snug inside the column block, to do x-axis adjustment. So that it doesn't give me more nodding!
when you pull the fine adjust pin to disengage it, does it freely move or is it keyed to the gear inside? I am wondering because I have the same mill but I don't have the fine adjust attachment, I was thinking of making one, in your video it looks like it slides in and out but it can't rotate freely when pulled, that means if you disengage the fine adjust then move the fine adjust wheel, to engage it back again you would have to keep rotating the wheel while passing on the pin until it gets to the correct position, is that correct?
The pin pulls out and pushes in easy when aligned properly and the quill is fully retracted. If the quill is not retracted, its spring tension locks the pin in place. Engaging and disengaging the fine feed requires a half turn or so of the hand wheel and the sweet spot is not difficult to find. When first installed, it might need several rotations to get it right. Also, only fully tighten the affixment screw when the fine feed is properly engaged with the pinion. Use camelcamelcamel.com to put a price watch on the fine feed's amazon page. Its price there sometimes drops to a reasonable level.
I got to tell you all for the over pricing they have put on this under powered mill, same for their lathe they offer. It's just not worth it. You'd be better off shopping around. I'm sure you'll find better for your money 💰. 😮
