I'm in southern New Mexico. I missed the auroras this weekend, but a number of people posted their pics. Deep rose and purple across the sky. I figured there will be more.
More are coming in. I'm in Reykjavík, Iceland and the Northern sky is currently orange- pink even as it is still light outside at 11pm. Last night at 3am the northern sky was bright pink as the sun rose again.
They weren't visible by the eye here in my state, until you took the picture then showed on photo so weird, so keep snapping pics even if sky looks black
@@thornyback You are lucky you live at far North. I always wanted to see it but unfortunately I missed it last weekend. I like in east Europe and these lights came here rare times...
@@catberts6499yeah, started that way here in the middle of Missouri. But predawn, visible sheets of green and pinkish purple waving above my barn like la chupacabra was coming to visit.
@@esztervarga5431we had them filling the skies in southern Missouri. I have seen them as far south as Texas Panhandle, but that was years ago. I have lived in Missouri since '94, and this was the wildest display I have ever seen. Expecting more this week IF the fair weather holds.
I had an unusual night of nightmares the entire night of the G5 storm. I know I'm sensitive to earthquakes, but hardly thought about the magnetic field before.
There has been many earth magnetic field reversals in the past. This weakening and shifting of the magnetic field may indicate the initial of another magnetic field reversal. Magnetic north becomes magnetic south and vise versa.
The Midatlantic Ridge is paralled on both sides with alternating magnetic strips, which are also in the same order on either side of the ridge (+,-, +, l, +, -, +) (l is the ridge). This configuration not only lead to the acceptance of plate tectonics it explains that all the sharp mountain peaks make it so difficult to lay the cables Most importantly for this reply, it lead to understanding that lead to knowing that the spreading ridge and the many alternations in magnetic charge means that the Earth’s magnetic field must be flipping with a relatively short pause before the new flip takes effect. Sorry about the relative lack of cogency. It is above 3am here.
yet we could only see the colors while holding one camera phones! So maybe, nit so much! (it was like a lite mist until you used the camera to capture it)
Really? Oh then germany was lucky, here you could see red and green ropes forming directly above at 11.05. 12:30am local time. Just the horizen was like you described.@@OurGlobalAffects
This is just the effect of primer fields along birkland currents. For anyone who wants to understand how the universe works better look into the electric universe theory
If anything does happen its going to to be a very slow transition. Weather changes like warm winters and cold summers, having snow fall in places that dont usually get that weather like it did in my country 10 years ago. Coincidentally..around the same time the last cycle the sun had.
There was a huge Northen Lights here in the Northen Europe's Finland in a last weekend what sadly I didin't saw. The Sun has been more shine than ever before and i'm worried about it. Could the Solar Shockwaves and the Solar Storm really be dangerous for Earth and us? ☀️💀
It's more dangerous for electronic devices. On the long run it could expose life closer to the poles with higher ultraviolet radiations by the depletion of the ozonlayer.
I don't want to risk a bureaucrat seeing me smile. I'm afraid to look up because I would enjoy seeing it. Then my taxes will go up, and I'll be fined and get a late fee.
