Oh RISE UP and SING to the Lord Church! Oh Holy Spirit anoint us to praise and worship our Holy God like this! Stir us up Lord! Let us WORSHIP in Spirit and truth!
This is were the true power of the African American culture dwells; with our elders who serve to guide and lead...More of our children need to learn what this song is about, why it can be sung so effectively without accompaniment and how it can be a rock for many to stand on when all seems lost.
remember who they are praising. look where he brought us from. who is he? Christ is the one who said you are all one in me. they are not saying we did it, but he did it.

I listen to this every night before going to bed, during the day to be in communion with the Father. Nothing but singing and praising the Lord from the heart. I feel like I’m right in the service. What is the address of the church would Love to visit before the Lord calls me home.
Deacon Phelps sang himself happy in the spirit! Amen, for it is a good thing to see the saints of God rejoice in his promise of a new home on high, and that with everlasting life. Why worry when Jesus has paved the way and promised to see us through to the other side? My soul is a witness for the Lord.
I would love to see the end of D. Phelps sermon within the song. He brought his testimony in this song, if possible can we see the ending of this great song/sermon
SuperDean516 Hi..now the city Primitive Baptists here in FL in Tampa and Miami DO use instruments:Tamvourines, Piano, Organ, Guitar,Drums and have CHoirs, Mass Choirs just like the other African American Baptist churches and ALSO have this type of singing as well. They observe Footwashing at The Lord's Supper and that is what makes them PB but they DO use instruments. I only recently found out that some rural PB do not,,they are different kinds of Primitive Baptists..thanks..BD
